The deal

She blinked in surprise. This had been the vampire to kill... she didnt say his name it had felt to her like a benediction before so she refused to say his name now.

“thank you my king” mavery whispered cuddling into his embrace. She looked head falling a little sideways wondering what it would feel like to be sheltered like that, for a man to touch her like this man touched his sister with reverence and almost love.

“will you do this for me pet?” mavery said

“i’ve only ever hugged you mave i wouldn’t be comfortable hugging him” she said instantly without thought making mavery laugh. She blinked realizing what she had said and put a hand over her eyes in embarrassment. Jesus.

“you’ll learn i promise” mavery said smiling her way reminding her of the old mave before that asshole. she stared through her fingers at her sister who hadnt moved from those strong arms

She shook her head “i cant mave not the hug not the familiar i cant. I can feel his very presence. I would be unable to control myself if he bit me” she whispered

Mavery’s smile slowly faded “thats okay he only wants to feel he would not use you up like...” mavery stopped at her hand raise “you can say his name ava”

“i cant it had been a prayer, a need before, i will not fall into calling his name again” she whispered through a tight throat as the need to say that name to see if he would appear, would bite her, would take her up against the wall hard and strong like he had gotten her used to. For his.... she shook her head hard pressing the palms of her hands at her eyes hard “you do not control me!” she said voice hard

“oh pet... im so sorry... i should have...” mavery stopped and she looked up just in time to see dius’s hands land on her shoulder. Her body shook at the heat of his palm, he must have just fed... and yet her whole body zinged. Tensing as a ball of need gathered in her core. She breathed hard, her body calling for the rest of his touch. She took a hard breath taking a step away from the hand, but it was too late he already had the other hand on her other shoulder.

“oh no please” she whispered as he pulled her off her feet until she stared into those black eyes

“STOP!” he said so forcefully she felt the ball dissipitate she breathed in hard just as he did through his teeth letting her go she fell from what felt like three feet as she looked up into those eyes that had gone back to red. His eyes stared in anger.

“you are powerful little tank, ill give you that, but even you cant make me do what i dont want to” dius said

She laughed unable to control the desperate edge to it “ not want to? Are you kidding?” she said taking a step until her body was right in-front of his he was tall so she only saw that beautiful chest but he had taken a breath at her nearness, holding it. He leaned down as that pupil expanded. She watched as those eyes became those of a predator.

“you have no control over me little tank i am too old for that” he said through gritted teeth

“your eyes say different” she whispered into the face two inches from hers

He looked down at her mouth smiling as the pupil retracted red eyes once again clear “my hunger does not and will never rule me little tank” he whispered, he nodded taking a step away from her to grab mavery’s outstretched hand “i do not think she will ever trust me or herself my dear mavery, the little one is right it will not work, we both need trust for it to work” he said smiling sadly “but if what your looking for is for her safety and her loneliness to be lifted she can stay until you come back then you may be with her, and with me until she finds someone she does trust” dius finished giving her his back as he walked away from her. She felt her eyes widen... he had walked away from her.

“he...!” she stopped looking at mavery with wide eyes

Mavery nodded her way stopping dius as they reached the middle of the most impressive pool. “he can do it ava... i would not have called you otherwise, your hypnotism will not win him, your power will not bend him and your blood will not change him, i have seen it” mavery said

She walked over to the pool stopping at the edge she had never learned to swim. She looked out to where mavery and dius still walked.

“if she walks to me from there i will let her be my familiar if that is her wish and yours my mavery” he said softly

“i cant” she said

“you can pet, trust him he will carry you here” mavery said

She took a breath looking at the plea in her sisters eyes, remembering the embrace and the way his eyes had cleared even with her very core calling to him. He had let go, even with the whole of her power calling him. She took a breath, her sister trusted this vampire. Her sister who had been tortured every day for almost thirty years trusted this blood sucker, no this man. She trusted him with herself and with her. Another breath and she put her foot on the water for a second it sank but she kept pressing and felt firmness, as if a path laid before her. She swallowed looking up tears in her eyes as she looked at mavery letting her other foot follow for a second she saw the water swallow her up but she didnt budge just stood for a second breathing in and out hard

“dance pet, dance here and i will catch you, i promise” mavery said tears in her eyes as well. Dius had not turned that back straight as he put his hands on his back one hand holding the other wrist waiting. He didnt wish for her to see him as she came. She wondered at that but ignored it, mavery said dance. Mavery snapped her fingers and music filled the room again she took a breath holding it as she pulled up on tip toe taking a step then another arms up pulling her body around in a twirl then down, she concentrated on the steps even though her breath raced in fear as she pulled forward her shoes wet as they sank into the pool but that is all that sank another step and twirl, then pose leg outstretched behind her on one leg then down step over and one leg out she dropped her upper body arms outstretched to the line of her leg right behind him. She stared at the water sinking just a bit now the water to her ankle but she didnt move, didn’t panic she was strong and her trust in her sister was ultimate she would lean on that trust now. Slowly she rose until only the bottom of her shoe was hovering again as he turned crouching in front of her eyes black she stared but didnt move.

“i will have to feed on you pet” he said using her sisters name for her

She straightened then kneeled everything below her knees getting wet but she nodded

“i trust my sister, i... do not know if i... can do what she asks... but i will use all of my strength to do so” she said through the lump of fear that had formed in her throat

“and my people will , but i promise you this pet no one here will feed on you unless you give permission... and no one here will lay with you without your consent... i know that vampire probably made it impossible to separate those feelings so until you trust us we will bleed you so my followers can feed, only i will bite until your ready for someone else” dius said staring deeply into her eyes as he talked

“what if im never ready” she whispered

“then we will keep bleeding you there is no need here for the kinds of things that vampire made you do, but i hope you try pet because without direct contact my people can not feel like we want to, you know this” dius said

She stared and felt herself sink a whole foot the cold of the water making her gasp but she didnt move. She swallowed feeling her insides churn not only at the possibility of drowning but at the thought of many feeding on her, it was a terrifying yet sensual thought. That vampire had only shared her once, and the outcome of everyone fucking themselves almost to death for five days had been the result. She had been terrified ever since but more so of her need to do it again to feel the bite nad the bodies over her as she came in a ball of pleasure, of bliss... a white light that had held her for days after everything had happened. it had been how mavery had been able to get free and free her as well. She had nearly killed her sister to get back to that vampire, yet her sister had held firm, ten years of fighting had finally broken that assholes control of her and another ten of fighting every vampire that couldn’t control themselves in her vicinity but she’d been here a whole of an hour and no one had even blinked hard her way.

“i... i will... try... as hard....” she stopped as black spots formed in her eyesight she was hyperventilating her whole body shaking but she forced the words out “i... will... try.... with all my.... strength” she finally pushed out letting go of those once again red eyes as she stuttered her promise, looking down at the water, she sank her hand down on the water the cold of it making her gasp in more breath than what she had been able to when talking, she used it until she could breath

“i will try! I promise” she said finally breathless as she looked up into those red eyes that were now tearing blood falling from his eyes, the tears of a vampire.

“you are stronger than you know little tank” he said smiling softly as he pulled her into his arms. Hugging her she stiffened, and he put a hand over the side of her face over her ear so she could only hear his heartbeat. She closed her eyes not moving or trying to kill him the only thing she could do. She heard mavery let out a sob pulling into dius’s arms next to her

“my ava.... i knew you could do it” mavery said as one blood tear and one regular tear made their way down her sisters face ............................................................
