Sweet Love 2

Raymond was stunned a bit about what she just said. He wondered where all that came from. She just woke up and got off bed. He remembered the six seven figure income part from her speech. He correlated that with the five hundred thousand dollar wedding. He nodded his head in realization of something he took to be a fact.

He remembered all those billionaire CEO romance novels. There was a reason writers wrote that in abundance. It was close to reality.

He watched her back as she was going. She was funny, that might be to him alone. Smiles formed on his face. He was overwhelmed by how great of a beauty she was. She stepped on the door weakly like the floor would feel hurt if she walked harder.

Her bum was little, something he always used to tease her, but her tiny body and tinier waste made her shape adoring. Raymond always felt he could never had enough of her. He didn’t wish to have enough of her. His only wish was her happiness. Grace looked back and smiled at him. She must have known he was ogling her. It had become a habit for him

Now he knew how to unlock great happiness for her. That would be the grand wedding she wished. She said it was a joke but everyone had an unrealistic dream and if it happened they finally realized it, they would feel on top of the world. It would be enough to live for.

The half a million dollar grand wedding was Grace’s unrealistic dream. Raymond wanted her to have that feeling. That would be greatest thing he could give to her.

“Impossible is nothing” he whispered to himself to drive away the thoughts that he could never be able to afford that.

Later at his workplace, he was an automobile mechanic. He worked in a shop with some other mechanics. He loved his work, he was good at it. Everyone including his coworkers admitted this. Most client’s had even advised him to become a machinist.

He was not happy with his work this morning. He was getting fed up of it. He felt it wasn’t worth doing. It couldn’t satisfy him. He sought refuge in a corner where he planned to calm himself. But it only got worse. He started seeing all the bad aspect of his job.

This would be a good time to change job. He thought for a moment about what he could do, he got nothing. He was an ordinary high school dropout.

Someone tapped him on the shoulder. He had been deep in thought. If not, their big boots at work would give anybody away and he would have known someone was approaching. He turned around to find Jean, the most unserious fellow in this workshop.

Jean literally lived on a couch in his step brother apartment. He didn’t plan to move his life forward or at least backward for the sake of moving. His only plan was how he would get wasted tonight and retired to the couch his step brother had dedicated to him.

Raymond was disappointed he was the one who came around this time. He always spoke senselessly. Jean believed he was everyone’s friend but Raymond never saw him as one. To him, he was just a colleague he was stuck with.

“What's wrong, man?” Jean sat beside him. He sounded calmly. He appeared sensible this morning maybe that was because he still had a clear head. Raymond felt he could share his problems with him.

“I’m tired of this work” Raymond said shamefully. No one would expect that from him, the best in this place. He couldn’t look at Jean's face. Jean chuckled.

“Raymond” Jean called him slowly. “You are not tired of this work. That is not in anyway possible” he dismissed his claim without giving much thought.

“Jean, I know what I’m saying. I am fed up” Raymond touched his own larynx to show Jean he was filled to the neck. He had had more than enough.

Jean looked at him with curiosity. It seemed he wanted an answer from his body, not his mouth.

“Raymond, you are not fed up. You are just disappointed. This job has failed to give you what you wanted” Jean stood up to leave. Raymond wondered for a moment. He was sure it was Jean standing before him. But what he said, how he behaved was unusual, not Jean-like. Raymond pulled him back to sit. He made sense, he should tell him more.

“You are right” Raymond felt relaxed. Jean would have something helpful to his situation.

“I know” Jean admitted rudely. Raymond didn’t feel bad with that. He thought it was confidence.

“Jean, you are changed. You weren’t like this before. You were stupid, senseless. I meant no offense” Raymond was gradually becoming friends with him. His perceptions about him was changing. He regretted not being close with him all this time.

“None taken. Talking of everybody, there is more than meet the eye” Jane smiled softly. He kept surprising Raymond with every word, every action.

“This work will disappoint me because I will be in need of five hundred thousand dollars very soon” Raymond spoke freely. He had believed he could confide in the new Jean, not the unserious one he used to be.

“Five hundred thousand dollars? Are you getting surgery for a brain tumor?” Jean screamed. Raymond would have found that too much from the previous Jean. It was okay as it was from this new Jean. He laughed at it, it wasn’t funny to him though. Jean shouldn’t have thought of that. He wasn’t looking sick, that was sure. He even look healthier than Jean himself.

“It is not for surgery. It is for a wedding” Raymond accompanied his strange answer with a smile. He believed Jane would understand as he was now sagacious.

“That’s going to be a great wedding” Jean chuckled softly. Raymond heart exploded with joy. He found someone that could understand him. He was deeply in love with Jean right now.

“But do you how many mamasita, Tequila, bars of coke I’m gonna get with that from that Mexican club downtown?” Jean seemed to be getting back to who he was. Raymond didn’t want to judge him quickly. He listened, he wanted to hear how he would end it.

“If I’m right, you are planning the wedding for that flexible, tiny, small thing. Oh boy, just go downtown once and feel those thick chicks for once and thank me later” Jean ranted. Raymond was saddened but he managed to smile and started laughing.

“Now you are getting me” Jean must be thinking he had convinced him. Raymond continued laughing. It became longer than normal. Jean was confused.

“What's with the laugh man?” Jean sought clarity to his confusion. Still laughing, Raymond picked up a socket wrench nearby.

“What are you gonna do with a wrench man?” Jean was frightened. It seemed he couldn’t understand anything right now.

“If you are not out of here within the next five seconds. This socket wrench will collide with your skull” Raymond said with a wicked smile. He would hit him if he didn’t leave. He couldn’t bear anyone insulting Grace. There would be no grace for such person.

“No violence, man. If you hit my head with this. I will be brain dead. I will have to be euthanized” it seemed Jean was not taking him serious. Raymond stood up, ready to strike him.

“No, no, no. I’m gone” Jean took to his heels.

Raymond regretted telling him all he had told him. He fooled him into believing he had become sensible and he believed. Someone like Jean could never changed. Raymond should have known better. He made a big mistake and gave Jean, of all people, an opportunity to insult Grace.

Raymond tried remembering how he knew Grace. He definitely knew her, the way he talked. He wasn’t sure if they had met before or not.
