Chapter 153- Mended
Raymond was seated by the side of the hospital bed with a newspaper in his hand He wasn't really reading it. He kept checking Grace If she had woken up from her deep sleep.
She would wake soon. She had been slept for a long time. She opened her eyes slowly and closed them back immediately like the lights were hurting her eyes.
"Raymond" she whispered. "Are you there, is that you?" she asked with her eyes closed.
"Why don't you open your eyes and confirm?" he replied her casually.
"I'm just confused seeing that in your hand. A publication? Really?" she had not opened her eyes yet and she was already taunting him.
"Are you okay?" he leaned towards her and asked.
"I feel better" she moaned. She opened her eyes and sat up.
"No, no. You have to rest" he quickly retorted. He felt she should be down there on her back.
