"Oh? So you are being attacked by thieves and your fiancee ran away leaving you to die in their hands?" Damien criticized Jake.

Jake gritted his teeth when he heard Damien's words. He too was thinking the same.

'Why the hell didn't she stop that man from beating me? Is he her lover? Is that why he attacked me? Because I was touching his lover?' Jake thought with anger. 

But he cannot let out his anger in front of Damien. Because his stepbrother already feels that he is useless. If he finds out that he was beaten by his fiance's lover, then he might laugh at him.

"No, she must have been scared of that goon. He was so scary and hefty. It is better that she escaped. It must be a true tragedy if that goon caught her. She is irresistibly beautiful you know. I am sure he must have done something bad to her if she got caught. I escaped with some superficial wounds. But it must not be the case with her. It would have been a traumatic experience for her i
