I was so lost in my own thoughts that I didn’t even know when I slept off. The next time I opened my eyes, Asher was leaning over me and his lips were on mine. I didn’t know it was him at first and my mind initially processed panic. He had never been back from work that early, so I wasn’t expecting him.

“Relax, it’s me,” he whispered, finally calming my nerves a bit.

I let out a sigh of relief after a few seconds to myself while he just sat there and stared at me.

“You’re back early,” I finally found my voice and he nodded.

“Yes, I told you I would, but I know you didn’t believe me, so this is me showing you that I meant it.” He chimed in while I smiled.

“What have you been up to? Eaten yet?” He added while I shook my head.

“Didn’t know when I slept off, I was going to order later in the day,” I replied.

“Nah, we’re not ordering today. Let’s go and make something together.”

    Asher“Urgggghh,” I shrugged as I got out of the car and made my way into the house. I’ve been at the beach the whole day and finally back home and there’s this awkward feeling knowing Ruby isn’t there. Ever since we got married, I’d never been this sad to come home. Even those times that Ruby and I had fights, I still wanted to come home always but now it’s all gone. Her mind is made up, she’s leaving me and I feel so helpless and hopeless.I was so happy when I walked in and Camila was nowhere in sight.
