Her path

*Cali POV*

I storm out of Leroy and Phoebe’s suite and immediately summon the Epsilon.

“Queen of …”

“Give me the spell to server the bond,” I use my Lycan voice. If Leroy thinks I will dance to tune because he is my mate, he had another thing coming.

“My Queen. Your Lycan will be knocked down for weeks. You will be vulnerable,” he warns but I have made up my mind.

“Server the bond with Leroy and leave the one with Cale. Cale is enough to keep me going,” I interject and give him no other option but to do what I command. I am certain that knowing that Cale needing me will keep me alive. I can live without a mate for the rest of my life.

Gold tries to take over but I don’t let her. It’s taking all my energy to suppress her as I gulp down the portion and feel my energy drain out. Gold whimpers, pain rips through my chest making me scream out before collapsing on the bed.
