Jessica was brought to the CEO's office. Across the entire company, only she and Heather could see Joshua without an appointment.

"Josh!" she called out in a sweet, delicate voice.

"Jessica, weren't you starting at the R&D department today? Why are you here?" Joshua was in a foul mood, but he softened with Jessica. His tone became gentle.

"It's still lunch break, isn't it?" She flashed a charming smile and stepped closer to him. She didn't breathe a word about Winter's presence. "I made you some pastries, Josh. Want to try them?"

Joshua had been buried in meetings and dealing with the Nora situation all day, so he hadn't eaten anything. He was indeed hungry.

Jessica opened the box and arranged the pastries neatly before him, playing the part of a gentle, dutiful wife. "Try this one."
