Aiden’s pov

Whatever the urgency was all about, I was about to find out.

I returned home to find my father, but the house was in absolute chaos. Wolves were rushing back and forth as if we were preparing for war.

My eyes scanned the grand hall until I finally spotted my father on the top floor.

“Dad!” I called out to get his attention.

He glanced down and gestured with two index fingers, signaling me to come up.

I hurriedly climbed the stairs. As soon as I reached him, I seized the chanc

Lila’s pov This was the way things had turned out to be, being dragged out and made to give a plea, that was Alpha Toran’s intention all along, at first the letter was confusing and hard to deliver, too many plea deals for my case, words I wasn’t willing to say but when I understood the position I was in, I knew I had to do it. It was the only right thing to do, I was at their mercy after what I’ve done.Lila Black, the human girl that was a nuisance, that was me, and I’m sure they would have preferred me gone. Always fighting, always causing trouble. I hated my life, always being the trouble everyone whispered about, the human girl with no power but causes more trouble than any wolf could. I was a menace and I disgrace to anyone I came across, lucky I didn’t have a family that i embarrassed at everyone turn. Life… It was a terrible image but a kind of pride shifted in me with this branded image. I had a bad image but at least I wasn’t that weak girl I used to be, being thrown aro

Aiden’s pov “Lila Black…” he started. “You will be punished for your crimes , this will serve as a lesson to others but…with a plea on the other hand, your punishment will not lead to your end, only a precautionary warning but be careful…this would be the last time any light punishment would be given to you..” This calmed my heart a bit, at least now I know she has been spared to live, no matter the punishment channeled at her, I believed she will survive it as long as it doesn’t involve her end, it was still worth the effort. “You will finish your punishment by Luna Eden and submit your report of good conduct, but you will be thrown into the hole till your assignment is done” My heart skipped at the mention of the hole. She really got to that sickening level. “But that isn’t your main punishment, another will be added to it…” he paused. I was dying in anticipation to hear what he had to say, then he continued. “After your first punishment, you will leave under my roof, any

Aiden’s pov I should have said something, but I couldn’t. I had a sickening feeling that if I spoke up, I would only make things worse for her. I watched the way Rayna and her mother glared at Lila with so much venom and unchecked hatred. My heart was beating so fast that I felt nervous, I desperately prayed Rayna wouldn't say anything that would seal Lila's fate, especially after our last encounter. One wrong move, and Lila would be gone forever. I could feel everyone’s eyes glued to me. They were waiting for me to step forward and be her savior, but I remained quiet and neutral. Beneath my composure lay a deep fear of what a scorned girl was capable of doing. Her revenge could be far worse than anything I could anticipate. Just when I thought the hardest part was behind us and we were finally going to hear the verdict, Luna Eden decided to intervene. I expected her to stop at a cruel, degrading speech, but then she called on Rayna, the last person I wanted to hear speak. Panic

Mathew’s pov I was beyond shocked that Aiden had stayed quiet the entire time. I had expected him to step up and defend her, I think we all did. Yet he remained still and silent, acting as though his very presence was an empty void in the room. Just before we had come down here, back when I was getting dressed upstairs in my room, I took a deep breath as I looked in the mirror and stepped downstairs. I had met my father in the hallway. He was dressed in a flamboyant green showman’s suit, topped off with a matching hat. “You look good,” he told me with a grin. Standing beside him was my brother, Oscar. “What’s going on?” I managed to ask. He took in a deep breath. “Your little girlfriend is having her judgement today..” he said. Oscar and I exchanged a weary look. “Judgement…?” We both asked and he nodded. “She burnt down her house today… that girl is just trouble..” he added. We both looked at ourselves. Lila burnt down her house? That words stuck in my ears. “Now, you t

Lila’s povAs the van turned back onto the main road, my handcuffs were taken off, granting me the privilege to finally read the note.Word for word, line by line, I read and memorized it until I could recite every single phrase by heart. The lines felt off and confusing, its contents unnerving me to my core, but would I still go through with it? Yes. I had no choice. In no time, we arrived at Aiden’s house. The handcuffs were promptly clamped back onto my wrists. The van door swung open, and I stepped out, gazing up at the towering building as I was led inside like a criminal.Instead of taking the familiar main hallway, they escorted me to an unfamiliar wing of the house. I didn’t know where we were headed but I’m sure it was a place to break me. They threw open a heavy door and shoved me inside to face my jury. I lost my balance and tumbled to the cold floor.Just as Alpha Toran had promised, the room was filled with familiar faces, yet not a single one felt like a friend. Rayna, L

  • Not my spec   Chapter 188

Lila’s pov I was riding in the back of a van, my hands handcuffed like a hardened criminal. They didn't really need to restrain me; even if I wanted to run away, there was no way I could ever escape. Shortly after, our van veered off the road and sped into a nearby stretch of woods. I immediately grew alert and cried out to the men. “What’s going on? What are you doing?” I kept yelling, but no one answered. They remained so focused on driving. We hit deep potholes, causing me to slam my head against the side of the van and fall over, but they didn't care. They just kept driving deeper into isolation. I was scared to death wondering what they wanted from me as they hauled me deep into the woods, finally bringing the vehicle to a halt. The van door was yanked open, and I was dragged out by other men who were waiting outside. I tried to struggle, but who was I kidding? Trying to escape a wolf grip was impossible. He simply grabbed me with one hand and threw me to the floor. I f
