Lily and I both stared at each other. My eyes were filled with anger and confliction, as well as hurt. I was so hurt by everything she said. Was I selfish for following my heart? Was I selfish for not wanting to hurt Neil by letting him know what I had done? Was it my fault that Adonis never, ever told me anything about himself? The only thing he willingly told me was his time as an underground racer and why he quit it.
