Chapter 12 - Lies and Pain

I blinked at him in confusion. There was no sign of him joking on his face and in his rigid posture.

His dark Obsidian eyes were fixed on my bleeding hand. Looking at him from close and inhaling his sharp pheromones—his Lycan scent becoming stronger and more dominant made me forget about the pain in my hand. Instead, it made my core ache.

“ You—You are joking right? Your Highness? ” There was no way he was keeping me for a year and there was no way I could stay beside him and remain alive to the end.

“ Who do you think I am, Lady Lana? ” He hissed, gripping my hand harsher.

Our eyes locked and the superiority in his gaze had me clenching my thighs together.

He kept his eyes on me as his tongue darted out, wetting his lips. I followed the sensual movement, gulping to get rid of the dryness in my mouth.

Pulling my hand near his lips, he closed his eyes and licked the edge of my wrist where the wound started. A gasp left my lips at the sudden soft gesture.
