AIDEN'S POV

"Sir, Miss Vegera is on the phone for you" Brent whispered to me as I got into the office building that morning.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him wondering why she was calling through his phone instead of mine.

"Hello" I said after collecting the phone from him.

"I'm glad you answered" she started

"What do you mean? " I asked. I really wasn't in the mood to chit-chat with her.

"I have been trying to reach you Aiden, but apparently you've been avoiding my calls" she stated out balantly

"Well....that should mean one thing Olivia, the fact that I am busy " I blurted out to her.

She scoffed over the phone and then replied " too busy to answer my calls? Or even return them?"

I let out a frustrating sigh as I listened to her. I still haven't gotten over the fact that she threatened me few days ago. It still feels like some sort of film trick.

" Your grandmother's retirement party is next week Saturday......you have exactly a week to call this thing off Aiden" she stated
