Victoria stood before the mirror, her figure bathed in pale light. The gown clung to her like a crown of silk, its jeweled shimmer drawing out the gleam in her eyes. She tilted her chin, admiring not just her beauty, but her inevitability.

The door creaked. Collins slipped inside, his hands tucked behind his back.

“I’m here.”

Her reflection didn’t change. “And what use is that announcement? You think I can’t see?”

“You asked me to be here at nine.”

“And I am no dullard.” She turned smoothly, her heels whispering against the carpet. A purse rested on the bed; she lifted it, opened it, and with a flick of her wrist, sent a bundle of cash spinning through the air.

Collins caught it, his lips tugging into a grateful smile. “Thank you, ma’am.”

But before he reached the door, her voice rang, cool as icewater.

“Wouldn’t you wish me a happy married life?”

He paused, shifting uneasily. “Happy married life, ma’am. Take care of yourself.”

“And you?” Her eyes narrowed, watching. “Not even curious

When the car rolled to a stop before the church, the sun flashed against rows of luxury cars, each one gleaming like tribute. Lucifer was there instantly, opening her door, freeing her gown from the snare of the pavement with a precise grip. She allowed it, just this once. A queen permitted a knight his use.Her father waited at the entrance, guarded. Martins extended his arm, his jaw tight. “You’re certain this is wise?”Victoria slid her hand through his arm, her chin tilting higher. “Everything I do is wise. Marriage, Father, is the cleanest way to launder power.”His nostrils flared. “Marriage is not a transaction.”Her lips curved—not a smile, but a baring of teeth. “Everything is a transaction. You of all people should know that.”His silence was answer enough. Together they entered the church, and the atmosphere bent toward her. Cameras flashed and gasps fluttered as every head turned. She drank it in like consecration.A flicker caught her. Deborah was seated on the left. For

CASPIAN’S POVTEN HOURS AGO“What’s the problem, Mr. Vale?” Alexandra asked as concern laced the tone of her voice.I swallowed hard, forcing out the words. “I… I’m going to see the doctor. Please, take care of Dorian for me. And no matter what, don’t let him leave this house.”Xavier dropped the bags in his hands, frowning. “Why are the results out so quickly? I’ll go with you.”“No,” I cut him off, sharper than I meant. “Dorian could be more troublesome for Alexandra if you’re not here. Stay. Help her. I’ll handle this.”As I slid into the car, I gave the house one last look. A strange weight pressed against my chest as if this simple drive might be the last time I would see the place whole, see him inside it. It was just fear, I told myself. Fear of what might already be true.Alexandra managed a faint smile and waved, and I forced myself to wave back before starting the engine. The road blurred beneath me, but my mind wouldn’t be calm. Dorian already had Temporal Lobe Seizures—a si

Ronan was buried deep inside Nikki but with conflicted thoughts. Yet, he kept on going, pulling in and out of her like a wild beast. He wanted to release his sperm into her as he believed that would free him from the thoughts in his mind but it wasn’t just coming. Then, he couldn’t take it anymore. He stopped, sweat dripping from his temple onto her skin.“Why would you stop?” Nikki panted, arching beneath him, her hair sticking to her damp forehead.“My friend…” His chest heaved, words strangled. “Dorian. He’s been gone… for days.”Nikki blinked, then scoffed. “You’re just remembering that now?” She shoved at his chest, pulling the blanket to cover herself as soon as he rolled off. “While we’re having a good time?”Ronan helped himself to sit on the edge of the bed, his head in his hands. “God, what the hell’s wrong with me?” he muttered. “What kind of friend forgets someone’s missing?”“Missing?” Nikki snapped. “He’s not a child. He hasn’t even been gone that long.”He turned, his e

CASPIAN’S POVDorian dressed slowly, and the heaviness in the room eased just a little. We ended up in the kitchen. He insisted on cooking, his hands moving awkwardly but determined as he tossed noodles into a pot. I sat on the counter, watching him with a hunger that had nothing to do with food. His damp hair stuck to his temple, his bare chest glowed faintly with sweat, and every now and then, he would look up at me with a grin that made my pulse stumble. “I’ll teach you how to cook next time,” he said, poking my thigh with a wooden spoon. “That’s a promise.” I smirked, catching his wrist, letting my thumb brush his pulse. “Next time, huh? You’re assuming I’ll survive this meal.” He laughed easily, emitting the sound I would die for. We ate together, warmth settling between us. Then, out of nowhere, he tilted his head and asked: “Caspian, do you know the types of hugs lovers share?” I blinked, caught off guard. “Types? Isn’t a hug just a hug?” “No,” he said, smiling f

CASPIAN’S POVI licked my lips, letting my voice drop to a rasp. “This time… I want your cum as my midnight drink.”Dorian’s laugh came low, but his hips betrayed him, jerking up so his cock brushed against my mouth. “Not now, Caspian. I need food in my stomach first,” he said, though the moan that slipped from him told a different story.Precum and spit clung to the air. My nose flared, hungry for more. I hesitated only a moment, my eyes locking on his flushed face. “Just for a while,” I promised, brushing my lips against his tip. “I’ll finish what you started.”“You think you can play my game?” he teased, but his chuckle had an edge. “Careful, husband. Don’t push past your boundary.”I grinned, about to go in again, but he twisted under my grip, slipping free with infuriating ease. He padded away toward the wardrobe. My eyes went straight to his ass. That ass. Fuck, it was like a curse—the kind of thing a man could sell his soul for.He yanked open the wardrobe doors, peering in. A
