Chapter 29

Javier has never been one to attend workplace functions. He always delegated that responsibility to Ethan. The guy was icy and disliked everyone around him. He was distant and standoffish with his employees. They were all frightened of him. He realized that if he went to the gathering, they wouldn’t be able to do everything they wanted, so he turned down Ethan’s invitation immediately. But Ethan didn’t give up; he was tenacious. Javier knew fully that he stood out like a sore thumb in the business. He ultimately consented because of his propensity for skipping workplace events.
