MasukOn the night of their fifth wedding anniversary, Ryan Kingsley spent the evening with another woman. Worse, his wife, Nora Hasting, witnessed his betrayal firsthand after receiving a mysterious message. For five years, Nora had been a devoted wife, sacrificing her own ambitions and desires to put her family first. Yet all she received in return was Ryan’s betrayal and humiliation at the hands of his family. Finally, fed up with the mistreatment, insults, and infidelity, Nora gathered irrefutable evidence of Ryan’s unfaithfulness and filed for divorce. Determined to reclaim her life, she returned to her career as an accountant, determined to become a respected name in the business world. But when Ryan, his eyes red and his expression filled with regret, begged his former wife to take him back, he found her in Damian Kingsley’s arms, his own uncle. Then, with a calm that shattered Ryan’s hopes, Damian looked at his nephew and introduced Nora as his wife. What happens next?

The entire world believed Ryan Kingsley was the perfect husband.
I used to believe it, too.
From my penthouse window, I stared at the enormous LED screen on the building across the street. There he was, standing beneath the studio lights in his impeccably tailored suit, wearing that familiar, devastatingly charming smile.
On the screen, Ryan was declaring his undying love for me on a talk show.
Then he unveiled a necklace adorned with what he called the world’s finest gemstones. He claimed it would symbolize his eternal devotion to me.
The audience melted. Social media exploded.
Millions of people watched the footage, gushing over our supposedly perfect marriage. To them, Ryan Kingsley was the embodiment of a dream husband, and I was the luckiest woman alive.
A bitter laugh escaped my lips as tears blurred my vision.
“Love me?” I whispered, staring at the man who had made a fool of me in front of the entire world. “Is that what you call it, Ryan? Loving me so much that you spent our fifth wedding anniversary in another woman’s bed?”
My fingers tightened around the wineglass until they ached.
The wine burned my throat, but it was nothing compared to the pain lodged deep in my chest. No amount of alcohol could drown out what I had witnessed last night. No matter how desperately I tried, I couldn’t erase the image of my husband with another woman.
Last night, I had waited for Ryan at home, preparing his favorite dishes and a cake topped with five candles. I had even put on the white mini dress he loved so much. He had told me to stay home because he had a surprise planned for me.
So, I waited. And waited. Until late into the night.
Then, at exactly midnight, a W******p message arrived from an unknown number.
Don’t ignore this message. I have a surprise for you.
I assumed it was some prankster sending random messages to strangers. But before I could dismiss it, another message appeared.
Your husband isn’t home with you, is he?
Alarm bells rang in my head. How could this person possibly know Ryan wasn’t home?
I wanted to ignore the messages, but they kept coming.
I know you’re reading this.
Your husband is with me right now.
He’s such a good man, but he’s not good for you.
Each message felt like a knife slicing through my heart. My hands trembled, and cold sweat gathered on my forehead and palms. I desperately tried to convince myself that it was all a cruel prank, but deep down, a panicked voice kept asking the same question.
Then came the last message, the one that shattered the last of my defenses.
If you don’t believe me, come see for yourself. I’ll send you the address. The door code is my birthday: 0212.
An address arrived moments later.
I rushed out of the house in a frantic haze, barely aware of what I was doing. The location was a luxurious, newly built apartment complex in the city's heart.
When I finally stood in front of the apartment door, my hands were shaking so badly that I could barely bring myself to touch the keypad. My heart pounded against my ribs.
I entered the code: 0212. The lock clicked. The door swung open.
A gray suit jacket and matching trousers lay scattered across the hallway floor. I recognized the initials embroidered beneath the collar.
R.K. Ryan Kingsley. He had been wearing that very suit yesterday morning.
A pair of white lace panties lay nearby. In the living room, two wineglasses, each half-empty, stood beside two plates of half-eaten steak. But the sight that made my stomach turn was the white lingerie carelessly draped over the sofa.
Then I heard it.
A faint, unmistakable moan came from the bedroom.
My legs felt too weak to support me. Still, trembling from head to toe, I forced myself toward the slightly ajar door and pushed it open.
A woman was kneeling on the bed, her head lowered between Ryan’s thighs as she pleasured him with her mouth.
Ryan threw his head back and let out a long, satisfied moan.
“Ah, yes.”
The woman lifted her head just enough to ask, her voice brimming with pride, “Am I good at this? Or is Nora better?”
“Of course, you’re better,” Ryan replied without hesitation. “There’s no comparison between you and Nora.”
A moment later, he moaned again, apparently overcome with pleasure, while the woman continued what she was doing.
He looked utterly satisfied.
And I stood there, watching the man who had promised to love me forever betray me without a second thought.
Something inside me broke.
I clapped a hand over my mouth, desperately trying to smother my sobs, but the tears came anyway. My entire body shook as I struggled to process what I was seeing.
Everyone had envied our love. They had called us a match made in heaven, the perfect couple whose happiness seemed untouchable.
But the truth before my eyes told a very different story.
I fled the apartment and ended up at a bar, sitting alone in a shadowy corner. I ordered vodka and drank in silence. Its sharp, bitter taste seared my throat, but it did nothing to numb the agony tearing through my chest.
Tears continued to stream down my face.
Lost in grief and despair, I called my friend Sonya and begged her to come to the bar, even though it was already the early hours of the morning.
She arrived not long afterward. The moment she saw me drunk and crying, panic and worry flashed across her face. Without a word, she took off her jacket and draped it over my shoulders.
“Why are you so drunk? What happened?” she asked anxiously. “Did you come here with Ryan?”
I raised my bloodshot eyes to meet hers. My voice was hoarse, almost unrecognizable.
“I’m not here with anyone. And I never want to hear that name again.”
I poured vodka into an empty glass and downed it in one gulp. Sonya stared at me in shock.
“Drink no more. Come on. Let’s go home.”
“I saw him.” My voice cracked, and fresh tears blurred my vision. “I saw him having sex with another woman in an apartment. With my own eyes. It wasn’t a dream. I wasn’t imagining things.”
Pain filled Sonya’s expression. She took my trembling hand and pressed it gently against her chest, then wiped the tears from the corners of my eyes.
“Maybe you two should talk about what happened,” she said softly.
“No.” I shook my head, my jaw tightening as I fought to keep my voice steady. “There’s nothing to talk about. I’m filing for divorce.”
Damian KingsleyAfter Nora left the mansion, I excused myself from Ellen and the others. They attempted to persuade me to stay, but I knew my presence wasn’t particularly welcome either. As I got into my car, I glanced through the window and spotted Nora standing beside the estate gates, clutching her handbag beneath the pouring rain. Her dress was completely soaked, clinging to her body. She was shivering, her long hair hanging in wet strands around her face. She looked painfully vulnerable.I knew Ellen and Clara well enough. Neither of them would have bothered arranging transportation for someone they had never liked.I started the engine, drove toward the gate, and pulled up beside her. Then I lowered the passenger-side window.“Get in. I’ll drive you home.”Nora peered into the car, surprised to find me behind the wheel. Instead of accepting, she shook her head.“It’s okay. The rain will stop soon. Thank you.”I frowned. Was she seriously planning to stand there until the storm p
Nora HastingsEllen gave a dismissive smile and waved her hand. “Then find someone! What are you waiting for?”Damian offered no response. He merely smiled faintly.Ellen then turned her attention to Ryan and me. “You’ve been married for five years. That’s a long time. So, when are you going to give me a great-grandchild?”The atmosphere on the terrace shifted instantly. My fingers tightened around my teacup until my knuckles turned white. It was a painful subject. One I had learned to dread because every mention reopened an old wound.Clara, Ryan’s cousin, immediately seized the opportunity.Leaning forward with a mocking smile, she said, “If Ryan hadn’t insisted on marrying you, do you honestly think someone with your background could have become part of the Kingsley family? You should know your place. You don’t want to give Ryan children, but there are plenty of women who would be more than willing.”Her words were wrapped in false concern, but the contempt in her eyes was unmistak
Nora HastingsMy fingers tightened around my phone until my knuckles turned white. I wanted to crush it, imagining that I gripped that woman’s throat instead.Anger surged through me, so intense that my teeth trembled.I hated her.She had sent that photograph deliberately, to remind me how little I meant to Ryan. After all, he had apparently bought two identical necklaces and given them to two different women. My tears had finally dried. There was nothing left to cry over. I unclasped the necklace, opened the drawer of my dressing table, and dropped it inside. I didn’t want to see it again. Then, I faced the mirror. My reflection stared back at me. I traced the contours of my face with my fingertips, searching for some flaw I might have overlooked. Was I too old for Ryan? Was I no longer attractive enough? The questions made my stomach twist, but I forced myself to look away. I refused to let his betrayal turn into a judgment of my worth. Before Ryan could return to the bedroom, I qu
Nora Hastings“That’s enough. Let’s go home.”Sonya dropped several hundred-dollar bills on the table, then slipped an arm around me and helped me out of the bar.She drove me home, helped me into bed, and changed me into something comfortable. Then, she made me a cup of red ginger tea to ease my hangover. Those were the last things I remembered before sleep finally claimed me and carried me through the rest of the night.Morning arrived with a thin shaft of sunlight slipping through the gap in the curtains.I slowly opened my eyes, wincing at the dull ache in my head. After struggling to sit up against the headboard, I reached for the cup of ginger tea Sonya had left beside me and took a cautious sip.A small piece of paper lay next to it.I picked it up and recognized Sonya’s handwriting immediately.Don’t forget to drink your tea. Love you. Thank God she had been there last night. I didn’t know what might have happened if I’d been left alone with my grief. Now that the alcohol had
