Ama's fingers worked gently over my skin, pressing the warm herbal mix into the stitches around my side. The sharp sting had dulled, replaced now with a strange sense of relief. The smell of the herbs reminded me of her hut—the one place I thought I'd die in but instead, came back to life.

"You're healing well," she murmured.

I managed a small smile. "Thanks to you."

Before she could respond, a knock sounded on the door. "Come in," I called out, tugging the edge of the blanket up to cover myself better.

The door creaked open and Lina stepped in, holding a tray of food. Her head dipped respectfully. "Good morning, Luna. I brought your breakfast."

Luna again. The word still felt foreign. I wasn't used to titles... or being acknowledged like that.

"Thank you," I said, offering her a smile and gesturing toward the small table near the window. "Just leave it there."

She obeyed, carefully setting the tray down with a graceful nod. "Please do let me know if you need anything."
