As soon as Zac stepped into the house, a rusty smell hit his nose. Before he could let his eyes wander, a familiar person lying dead on the floor caught his eye.

"Marianne!" Instantly, his heart jolted by Liam's worry. If Marianne was dead, which meant... he did not want to think anything bad, but couldn't stop himself from clinching his fist.

"Are you feeling sad that one of your mistresses is lying dead before your eyes?" A familiar tone seized Zac's attention and he shifted his head to the person on a distant couch.

His eyes tapered.

"Surprise! My darling Nephew!" Paula teased with a triumphant smile. If someone had told her about such moments a month ago, she would have addressed that as a Nightmare, but here it was. Both of them were facing each other with the thrust to kill.
