CHAPTER 29: Impersonators

NARRATIVE

In a black van speeding down the highway towards Washington DC, two young men_Claire Rock's subordinates, were singing loudly and vibing along to the pop music blasting from the van speakers totally oblivious of the black sedan car tailing them.

Not long afterwards, they arrived at a checkpoint and on looking out the window, one of them sighted the police and almost panicked but his partner was quick to give him a warning glare.

"Be cool! Remember what the boss had said. If we are found out, we'll be the ones going down not her. Do you understand?!"

The second guy swallowed and hurriedly nodded, pushing his uneasiness aside and keeping a straight face.

The car behind belonged to none other than Carlo's subordinates. They've been instructed to make sure things fall accordingly as they'd planned.
