Sophia knew something was going on and she had to think very fast. Alexander was slipping through her fingers. She could not just good her hands and watch Alexander leave her. His refusal to marry her was beyond his silly excuses and Sophia knew it clearly. If she would decide to keep quiet and take his word for it, it would come to a point when he would end his relationship with her and then the next thing that would follow would be his marriage to another. That was something she would never accept.
