“Do you know Adron?” Jet asked, speaking for the first time.

Orpheus looked at Jet. His eyes studied him as Jet kept his face passive. “I first met him over 100 years ago. Maybe more like 500. Who knows? After all these years, it blends together. However, I was… entertaining a lady friend at a party and when I went to get us drinks, he stole her from me. Obviously, we disagreed and had many issues but we have put our difference aside. Now, we co-exist decently. I can’t imagine him wanting to kill the vampire species.”

“What would it take for me to prove to you that I’m not lying? Allow you access to the vamolves so you can see for yourself? Done. Would you like to fight one? Done. We can take you to some. Would you like to ask Adron himself? I’m sure I can find him easy enough. He is my uncle, after all.”
