A Heart Knows

My heart almost skipped a beat, but this time not from excitement. I was scared out of my wits, witnessing the three wolves transform into humans. Three gentlemen came into my house to inform me about some kind of danger that befalls me.

The three of them were in the middle of putting on their clothes, even though I was already seen their nice package. Sometimes you can’t ever believe the myth about big body small p*nis.

“What… what are you guys?” I asked them while I was on the ground, failing to stand up.

Elm, the youngest of them, was smiling and crouching in front of me. “Hey, are you alright?”

A frown came into my face. “Alright? I was chased by the big wolf that happened to be a human that can transform into a wolf, and being rescued by three annoying men who also happened to have the ability to transform into a wolf!” Glaring at Elm, I continued to say, “Alright wasn’t even close! Just stay away from me!”

“Easy girl, we saved your life, remember?!” Said Aaron while he pointed at the dead bodies of three men.

I wasn’t going to back down. Who knows what kind of magic or mumbo jumbo they are going to pull on me? With the hunting knife in my hand, I prepare for any sudden attack from any of them. Elm look so confused, the young man retreated and let Aaron or that arrogant Zephyr do the talk.

Instead of waiting, I gave them a challenge, and with a smirk on my face, I taunt every one of them, “Come on boys, are you going to do something, or what?!”

Aaron replied with a snicker adorning his face, “Careful missy, you don’t know what are we capable of doing.”

With my knee still shaken, I tried to see some opening. This is a wild and bad plan, but I need to do something. Not going to let myself be captured or, worse, killed by these three. My hunting dagger was still in my firm grip while Aaron tried to get closer to me. With his eyes locked on my dagger, I kick some sand into him and run as fast as I can.

“Oh, really?! Not cool, young lady!” I heard Aaron yelling from behind. I just gave him the finger and laughed.

In my mind, I could give a leeway for a bit before I reached the highway to stop one of the cars, but my fate said no chance. Ten seconds after I gave Aaron the finger, other men already slam into my body, and we struggled on the dirt until I hear his voice. It was Zephyr. I was so focused on Aaron and Elm; I forgot about Zephyr, who had gone missing and probably waiting for me to run away.

I punch his face, even though he never attacked me. All he did was defend himself from my attack. He locked my hands while my body facing into the dirt. I hissed at him while he gave me a smug smile, even though there was blood coming from his lips.

“Looks like she got you good, Zephyr.” Said Aaron with a chuckle. He helped him to subdue me, and then Elm came along with a white handkerchief in his hand.

“No! No! Don’t you dare!”

I screamed my last plea before he put the handkerchief on my face.

(Elm)

She was sleeping peacefully with me in the back seat when I looked at her face. I can’t believe how beautiful she is. Hyacinth probably will be jealous right now. With her full lips and with sharp eyebrows, and piercing cat eyes, she could be a model. Not to mention her long blonde hair.

“Would you stop being a creep for once, Elm?!” I look into the rearview mirror to see Zephyr glaring at me. His disheveled look really doesn’t look like him at all.

“Well, I can’t help it. She’s so beautiful.” It was the truth. I was mesmerized by her beauty already.

Aaron chuckles to me, “Just remember, though, that beauty was responsible for Zephyr’s expensive shirt.”

“It was Arm*ni! Custom made!” Said Zephyr with his face glancing at Aaron. “Ugh, I hate this woman!” Zephyr now gruntled, while his hands steered the car into a dark and empty road.

“Careful, Zephyr, she is our key right now. We need to treat her gently.” Aaron tried to remind the stubborn Zephyr once more.

The three of us just become a family one year ago, tragedy get a grip on our fate and now, the only key to salvation lies in this young woman who wasn’t even our kin. The Moon Goddess really gave us a good satire. We almost arrived at the villa, one of the houses that Alexander's family has. I then remember a detail about this pretty woman beside me.

“Hey guys, I think we should bring her home here.” I reminded the two of them, I do feel sorry for what happened to her, at least what we can do is secure the home that she cherished.

“That small thing? Already commanded Bernard to take it home. That shabby thing got wrecked because of those rogues.” Answered Zephyr while he still concentrated on the road, “For the moon goddess, where is this new villa?!” Gruntled Zephyr.

“Calm down. Bernard gave you the GPS coordinate, right? Use it.” Aaron almost loses his mind. Zephyr, although from a family that has a massive wealth among us, has some difficulty learning the latest technology.

Zephyr throws his smartphone at me and asked for my help. I look into the GPS and gave him directions to this newest addition of the Alexander family villa by the lake. He told us that we need to hide for a while, especially after we know about miss Cattleya Hunt, who is still sleeping beside me.

One hour later, we arrived at the new villa, Aaron and I curse and our heads automatically go to Zephyr who just smiling when he looks at the new home.

“Not too shabby, a bit small, though, but it sufficed for now.” He said to both of us.

I turn my head into the new villa once again, a modern rendition of a house with two stories from the looks of it, the villa has more than ten bedrooms and I will bet that it has a pool and another building for the guards and staff. Alexander family never goes anywhere without their entourage, the joke that Aaron and I always said to Zephyr.

“This is more like a billionaire modern mansion than a villa, what are you thinking, Zephyr?!” A frown came onto Aaron’s face, I guess he thought the same as me, that Alexander family wasn’t just eccentric, they were also crazy.

“I was thinking that I still need my comfort even though we are facing any danger, you know, hiding in style.” Zephyr smile at both of us, and then goes out of the car.

The only thing I can do is shake my head and follow him inside. Aaron will carry miss Hunt into one of the so many empty rooms in this place. Zephyr told him to put her into the second-floor room, with two adjoining rooms.

“How do you know that the villa has three rooms that are adjoined together?” I asked Zephyr, with suspicion on my face.

“Because, I saw photos of the interior, genius!” Answered Zephyr while he was still busy texting someone on his phone, “Stupid Bernard, he was going to be late. Apparently, that mini house of miss Hunt was so badly damaged that he will be put directly in the garage.”

“It’s a tiny house, Zephyr, not a mini house.” I reminded him while I rolled my eyes. Taking my phone from my pocket and saw a message from my grandparent. “I’ll go to the second floor, keeping an eye on miss Hunt. I need to call Jude as well,” I said to Zephyr, who just nodded his head, probably busy berating Bernard over his inefficiency.

When I go to the second floor, Aaron was in the middle of putting her in the bed, contrary to the looks of his big body, Aaron actually the most gentle person of the three of us, even though he was coming from one of the most vicious were pack in the world. How he could become the alpha of his pack is still a mystery to me. Hyacinth told me that even Aaron has his own demon, like me and Zephyr.

Aaron goes outside the room, telling me that he was hungry and going to get some food, while I took the time to chat with my grandfather. Judas Volken is someone that you don’t want to have as an enemy. He was ruthless but thankfully a family man through and through, especially after I lost my parents when I was just a six-year-old pup. Jude took me in and that was the first time I met with Hyacinth.

Once again, I kept turning to see the young woman in the bed, a stranger but somehow familiar. Although she was beautiful beyond compare, she was also someone that I never knew before the incident. I walk over to the bed, with my right hand reaching into her chest. When I feel the heartbeat, I choke and almost cried.

“What are you doing?”

Gasped, I saw miss Cattleya Hunt already open her eyes, while my hand was still on her chest.
