Without saying another word, I followed him into the bedroom, closing the door behind me as I did so. I laid down on the bed and he crawled onto the mattress and pressed a kiss against my forehead.

I immediately melted into his embrace. My eyelids started to droop tiredly. Dan chuckled and kissed my temple.

"Go to sleep, Alessia," he ordered softly.

I hummed contently and closed my eyes, relaxing into his touch. Soon enough, my breathing slowed and deepened until it eventually stopped altogether.

Ezra smiled to himself as he looked down at me, admiring my peaceful expression.

I was sleeping soundly in his arms. The events of yesterday were finally catching up with me and I could barely keep myself from falling asleep.
