"That's fine" I responded.

"You're right, it would probably be better if I drove home, but don't worry, Alessia and I won't tell anybody about this deal, you'll never know" I reassured him.

"That's good, now please take your leave and don't forget to bring her back safely, you can count on me." He assured me as I nodded in response.

"Oh by the way, your mother's condition hasn't changed at all, so she still has a chance of recovering, she's just sleeping peacefully at the moment."

"Okay, thanks dad. I'll come back as soon as I can and try to convince her that she should get better." I replied with a relieved sigh.

"I'll make sure to keep that in mind son." He said and after that we said goodbye and finally left together with our daughter.

Once we were out of sight I stopped at my parent's driveway. "So you wanna head home now?" I asked Alessia.

"Yeah, that would be nice." She agreed and we climbed into the car.
