CHAPTER NINE

TRACY'S POV

Goosebumps could be clearly seen all over my body . Cold seeps slowly into my being. I waited and waited for what seemed like an eternity in the shower but he never came. I am such a fool to think that Infinite would ever love me like before. I heard him screaming on top of his voice while answering a phone call then he left the room in anger jamming the door and leaving a loud thud behind. I was in a kneeling position in the shower because Finite ordered me to. Positioning myself like a ball at a far corner near the sink, I hugged myself and cried, low and sorrowfully. I pitied myself at that moment. I poked myself forward and backwards. I know he doesn't love me. I'm like an object to him. He treats me like trash, he uses me whenever he feels like and I turn into a punching bag when he is pissed off.

Sometimes I can't believe that we meant for each other. I can't believe I'm supposed to be by his side forever as he is my Alpha which resulted in him marketing me by the neck. When he marked me, we were so young and in love with each other. He couldn't stay a day without talking to me or touching me.

Everyday he would be by my window at night saying he just wanted to see my face before he went to bed and when he goes home, he calls me. Deep down I knew his love for me wouldn't end but I said my love would be enough for the both of us. But everything changed when he was thrown out of his pack.  He is not the Finite I once knew or loved . He is now ruthless, heartless and cold. He never cared for anyone and lost his respect for women. He misses girls however and whenever he wants and now he wants to use Star for his own selfish reasons. I didn't tell him about how Star is developing fast, faster than we expected.

She could see the marks on my neck and I am sure she can see it on others too although we hide it and make it look invisible to an average human but she could see it. I know she could hear  wolves communicating through their thoughts . She is still innocent and is still not aware of who she is or what is happening. I intentionally did not tell Infinite and I know if he finds out, I am done for. But I have watched so many lives go through pain. I have seen so many families perished, so many girls committing suicide because of what infite has done to them. It's time I stand for what is right. Even if it will affect my life. There is someone he orders to get his dirty work done and I need to know who that is. Whoever that person is, he or she is a threat. 

TRACY'S POV

Wiping my face, I stepped out of the shower with slow and steady steps. I saw my clothes on the tiled floor close to the bed just as I left it. I got dressed. Looking at the mirror, my reflection staring back at me, I look so pale and empty my eyes bloodshot from crying . Taking a deep breath, I tied my hair into a high ponytail and was about to leave the room but was stopped midway on my way out. The drawer closest to his bed was closed but the key was left hanging. My curiosity took over me and I moved slowly towards the drawer. With every step I took, I looked back at the door . When I was at the drawer , I Knelt down in front of it and tried turning the key but it didn't budge. I tried again but it was fruitless. I removed the key and inserted it back. Turning the key to the right and it clicked open, I smiled at myself. I opened the drawer and there was an envelope lying in the darkness daring me to pick it and see what  information it holds , stretching my hand. I took it . It seemed light, very light.  I tilted my eyes to the right and was about to open it but the door opened and someone was about to walk in, my breath caught in my throat. But the person closed it and left. I let out a breath I never knew I was holding. 

I opened the envelope and I was greeted with a picture. The face looked so familiar when it hit me I gasped.  Standing up someone or something hit me on the back of my head and I fell to the ground. My vision blurred and I couldn't make out who was there. The person was a lady but who.?

"Nice try"  she snickered close to my ear licking it. 

I fell unconscious.

STAR'S POV 

Alex

was dragging me upstairs not giving me a single chance to walk at my own pace"Alex slowed down. I can't keep up. " 

He opened the door to his room and 

dragged me into it, shutting the door behind him and locking it. 

"Why are you locking the door?" I asked, pointing directly at it. 

"To prevent any distractions" he stated. "Now sit, you have some explaining you need to do," he added. 

"What explanations and why me?"  I asked, looking straight at him. 

He rubbed his neck with his left hand and his right hand in his back pocket. "Star there are some things I need to tell you and you might freak out. "

Crossing my hand over my chest I said "Like Rose being your twin sister?"

He sighed "Not now Star please just listen?"

Facing him I answered "Ok,  I'm all ears."

He sat very close to me and placed his hand on my lap closing the distance between us and said "Aunt Kate's name is not Kate but Stella and she is not your Aunt neither is she related to you in any way. And your parents did not die in a car crash, they where murdered just like Aunt Kate."

Dragging my hand away from his, I placed my hand on my mouth. So my whole life was a lie? How?  Why? 

"And" Alex was about to continue but I raised my hand up signaling him to stop. 

Trying to digest what I just heard,  I stood up and paced the room. 

I

turned and faced Alex asking him"So my whole life was a lie? For how long did you know this?" 

He

came to me and said"Star, listen. " 

"Don't touch me.  Answer me,  for how long have you known this? "

"Star" was stopped midway when we heard a crash down stairs and voices following suit.

We both looked at ourselves. Pushing me backwards he said "Stay here and don't go anywhere.  Understood?"

I nodded my head in response. 

But held him by the hand"Please be careful."  . Nodding his head he turned and left. 

Sitting on the bed I was so restless wondering what was going on down stairs. Placing my left hand in my mouth, I began chewing on my nails. I do that as a method in calming me but it seemed useless at this point. Standing up I moved towards the door. I was about to open it but someone else opened it. Hoping it was Alex, I stepped back but it was someone else .

"Who are you? " I asked, stepping backwards, looking round for anything I can use as a weapon. 

The person was tall and built. There is nowhere I could fight him off. He grabbed me by my arm and twisted it. Closing my mouth with a material and tying it round my head, he lifted me over his shoulder and moved towards the window. Wait, he wants to jump through the window?. I opened my eyes wide, the building is a two story building. How was he going to jump with me by his shoulder? I tried screaming but my voice was muffled with the piece of cloth in my mouth. 

When he was about to jump, Alex walked in "Put her down" he ordered. He was angry, very angry. 

The built guy jumped. I felt my heart leap to my throat in fear. He landed with a large thud on the ground and started running. I could see the house jiggling as he ran but all of a sudden, he stopped. 

I heard Alex"I said put her down. " 

The built guy turned to run in the opposite direction but he also stopped. I could see Ethan and Justin. He lowered me and  held me by the neck. 

"Let me through or I will bite her neck off. " the built guy threatened. 

He held me by the neck and I could feel his hands grow bigger,  stronger and hairy. Alex stood in front of me and his eyes turned from emerald green to orange in an instant. He got taller and bigger. What is happening? His feet got bigger piping out of his shoes and he fell to the ground on all four. The built guy threw me to the side. I almost fell to the ground but Justin caught me. 

He smiled at me and said"I got you." 

I turned to where Alex and the built guy were and caught a glimpse of his face . He looked familiar but where. A flashback of what happened to Aunt Kate came rushing in. He was there. 

Right before my eyes Alex transformed into a big large black wolf same as the built guy but he was smaller than Alex. If there is nothing that has shocked and scared me on this planet, it is what I am seeing before. Alex flew on the built guy wolf and held him by his neck with his teeth . Strangling him immediately to death. They both transformed back into humans.  I fainted. 

Waking up on a soft bed, I turned to my right and saw Alex sitted. Then I remembered what happened , how he transformed into a big black wolf right before me and how he strangled the other wolf to death. 

Alex asked me while standing up"Star, are you alright ?"

"Don't touch me. Who are you or what are you? "  I asked him, glaring at him. 

" I will tell you everything when you are ready, just calm down," he pleaded. 

I

screamed on top of my voice "No I will not calm down until you tell me everything. What are you or who are you? What is happening and why all this is happening?"

"Star please just calm down and listen to me". He pleaded 

Looking straight at him I nodded my head and said"Go on, I'm listening. "

He seemed nervous. He placed both of his hands in his pockets. Taking in a deep breath he said"Alright . I am the leader of the Baldwin pack and Alpha wolf and everyone here is also a wolf . This is my pack." he stated.

Placing

my right hand over my mouth, I was so shocked and surprised "How many more secrets are you keeping away from me Alex . Where are you ever going to tell me?"

"I was scared you would be afraid of me and leave. I can't stand losing you." His words held so much emotion. 

"You just transformed right in front of me and you think it's fine. And what do I have to do with all this?" I asked nothing makes sense. 

I was pacing back and forth in the room. Racking my hands through my hair as a sign of annoyance. 

Alex added"Star, You have something which could change the evolution of Werewolves. You are the blood moon."

I came to a stop on hearing his words.  

"What? I asked, confused. "How I'm the blood moon for Christ sake. You are confusing me Alex. "

He hesitated but answered "Your heart is the Key to the Blood moon. "

"How is that possible? "
