Chapter 15: Destined
My cousins and I decided to visit my parents at the hospital today. We gave Auntie Irene a heads up so she will know what time we'll go. I found Sara shaving Daddy's facial hair. Rueben hired a private nurse and other assistants but Sara insisted on doing stuff like these especially when she has free time or she has no exams.
"Any progress?" I asked as I give my father a kiss on his forehead.
"None," she sighed.
I glanced at my mother who's just beside my father. She's still unconscious, too. Until now.
I sat beside her and leaned my head on her chest. I hugged her. I miss them so much. It's hard when they're not around. I hope they could open their eyes as soon as they can. I know they won't leave us. They can't leave us.

The three of us are sitting at the living space Mr. Ramos had in his office. I went to the university as early as I can to proceed with everything I need to do for the enrollment of incoming Grade 12 students.Abigail is already enrolled and she chose a different specialization so it doesn't matter at all.The procedure was easy. I was guided by kind and considerate staff. I'm familiar with how it works because I finished my 11th year here.I submitted my requirements, took my photo for ID, fit some uniforms, and had a short conversation with my classmates. I am not really close with them. Abigail and I are classmates last year so we did everything together. I considered them acquaintances, not friends. Most of them are just after my family's popularity. Abigail and all of my other cousins are so used to it.

Rueben drove me to school today. The three of us had breakfast in the hospital before he drove us to our schools. We dropped off Sara first at her school before coming here.It's still early. We just wanted to visit our parents together at the hospital because this is the only time Rueben is free. After this, he'll go back to the company to finish his work."How's school?" He asked."Fine," I answered while finishing my drink. "Zaron's here, too."He looked at me for a while. I'm sure he has the same questions I have. But isn't life making it easy for me? I mean, I don't have to worry about not meeting him again or joining the band because whatever happens, I can always find and meet him in school.

I tried to open my eyes, but they won’t cooperate. I slept late last night because I was too excited for today. The loud ringtone of my phone filled my ears, and it made me get out of bed.
