Kon's eyes were red by the time he returned to his house.

“Where is Toto?” He asked Scorpion, who was reading through a file.

“She has probably gone to sleep.” Scorpion shrugged. “It hasn't been long since she went up. The girl was waiting for your return, to tell you the good news.” Scorpion marked a spot on the file he was reading.

“Good news? Did anything happen in my absence?” He sat next to Scorpion.

“I don't know. Your daughter refused to tell me what the good news was. She was waiting for you to return so that you can be the first person to hear the news.”

Kon glanced towards the stairs. “I guess I will have to wait until morning to hear the news. My little princess must be asleep now.”

Scorpion peered up. “You— why are your eyes red?" He tilted his head. "Did you cry?"

"Cry?"

Kon nervously chuckled. "No, I didn't. Who will you think that I cried? Of course, I didn't cry."

"Hmm."
