Katherine’s pov

I slowly woke up as my head felt woozy. I couldn’t do or say anything as I sighed and blinked hard to get used to the dark room I was in.

Where was I?

I tried listening to any sound to know where I was but I couldn’t hear anything. It felt like the building I was in had so much space and I could hear the howling of wind all around.

With a sigh I tried getting up as I felt a metal strap against my leg. I looked at the chain that had me stuck to a place as I found it connected to a latch on the wall.

I immediately got scared as I wondered how I had gotten from the hospital to this place.

With a sigh, I reached over with my other hand for leverage as I tested the limits of the metal chain unsuccessfully for what seemed like minutes until I realized I had no tools or weapons whatsoever to help free myself.

I thought for a way to get out of here when I noticed that I still had my hairpin in place. I could easily pick the lock.
