The drive to the office today was filled with intense silence. I have been thinking of how to explain to her what happened, but I don't even know where to start. We finally arrive at the office later, she walks over to sit in her usual position.

Staring at her from my seat, I gulp down the sudden lump that forms in my throat, while thinking of how to start this awkward conversation.

"Ariel," I call her, and she quickly stands up to her feet.

"Yes, Sir. Do you need anything?" She asks as she stares at me from there, and I sigh briefly.

"Get me my schedule for the week from the secretary," I utter, and she quickly strides out of the office to get the book. She returns almost immediately with the file and drops it on the desk.

"Sit," I say to her when she turns to leave, and she glances at me before she sits on the chair across from me.

I watch as she fondles with her fingers, looking extremely nervous. The maid was spared because she showed up, but I'm a bit
