MasukCHAPTER 5.
He killed her.
My body froze in shock, as I was suddenly being pulled away by some mighty hands. Swiftly, I was picked up like a piece of trash, and thrown into a large black van, which resembled an ambulance.
Then, the journey began.
As I sat behind that van in darkness, the wave of uncertainty suddenly hit me. I slowly realized that I was long lost in a far away land that no one even knew my whereabouts.
Aside from the exhaust sound of the van, I couldn't hear any other sound... Not even that of the guards, nor the supposed Alpha Kieran.
The journey continued until after about three long hours when the car came to a sudden halt. I was then pulled out of the car.
Standing in front of me was a black gigantic castle, which had a very bizarre sculpture at the front yard. Its surroundings looked scanty, like it was a ghost town.
It was surrounded by long fences which stood above ten feet long, and had a pool which was bloodstained. The stench from the left hand side of the castle hit my heavily, that I turned and saw what resembled an abattoir.
At the other end of the gigantic castle, just beneath the abattoir, I could see maids who were dressed in black clothes like funeral undertakers. They each scampered around with a firm and fearful gaze.
"Untie her, and take her in!" I jolted back to reality, as Alpha Kieran's voice echoed throughout the secluded castle.
Immediately, two young hybrids, who I supposed where in their early twenties, came running out. Coincidentally, they also wore black clothes.
They helped me rise up to my feet, as they both led me towards into the castle. Just as I stepped into the castle, I was mesmerized by the exquisite luxury and beauty which engulfed me.
The chairs were designed with gold, while the walls were painted with expensive natural crude.
"Who is she?" An evil looking elderly woman of about seventy five years, asked Alpha Kieran, as she looked at me with pure disgust and disdain.
However, he didn't respond immediately, as he first walked over to the golden couch, and sat down.
"I claimed her..." He mumbled.
"Nope...!" The woman screamed in fury. "You'd do no such thing."
"Well, I already did!"
Sitting on the ground while watching them yell at each other, was confusing to me.
Who was the woman to him?
Maybe, his mother, I think.
Why was she yelling at him.
"Kieran... You dare not talk to me in that way!" She kept yelling.
"I claimed her, she's mine, and there's nothing no one can do about it... Not even you..." He responded to her in a nonchalant tone.
Suddenly, the woman stood up from where she sat just opposite him, and immediately charged towards him in fury. In anger, she raised her hand to strike his face, but Alpha Kieran, caught her mid air.
"Don't!" He said to her sinisterly, but she didn't flinch. She ran back and picked up a knife to stab him, but Alpha Kieran, did the unthinkable.
He brought out a dagger from the back of his pocket, and instantly began to stab her neck, until he completely mashed it.
I think I lost count after the seventh one.
My body in sheer horror, as it was my first time of encountering such gruesome evil. I felt pale, like my stomach was about to rumple.
"I warned you..." He kept yelling at her dead body, which was down on the pool of her own blood. "I warned you..."
Alpha Kieran, continued to yell over and over again, like one who had been possessed by a strange spirit.
"Clean this mess up..." He said to none of the guards or maidens in particular. "Arrange her parts in the abattoir, while you refrigerate the rest."
With that, he proceeded to walk upstairs, but he turned back evilly, while piercing through my soul with his evil gaze.
"Take her to the virgin's room, and clean her." He mumbled, and turned his back.
I heaved a temporary sigh of relief. If this was the man who had purchased me, then, he'd not think twice before ending me.

The new room which was assigned to me, was just an embodiment of perfection.
It was painted all white, and had all the designs that I had ever dreamed of. However, I was just there with a maiden, who had refused to say any word to me.
She was dressing my wounds, and oiling my body. After we were done with that, I went into the bathroom, where she massaged my body with ancient drugs, and ointments.
"My name is Rory." I gulped down a huge lump which had formed in my throat. "I was kidnapped, and sold in an auction to Alpha Kieran. What about you?"
The maiden paused for a slight second, like she was studying me, and still kept mute. She looked like she had something to say, but I could also see fear in her eyes.
"Ma'am... Urghs!" She breathed a long sigh of fear. "We're not allowed to speak here. My life is at great risk. If I'm caught, I'll be punished with death." She explained, and I froze.
At that instant, I could feel cold shivers running down my spine.
"Who is he? Why are you here? Why am I here?" I asked in sheer panic and uncertainty.
She paused for a slight second, and looked around the room like she was checking to see someone.
"My name is Akira, and I was sold to this man by my wicked stepmother. I've been dealing with living here with absolute carefulness, because I know that my next second isn't certain." She narrated.
"So, what does he do? Why does people fear him?" I asked.
Her mood suddenly changed.
"Alpha Kieran, is the most evil and richest mortuary attendant. He kills, extract souls, imprisons spirits, and sells the bodies of his victims." She explained, and I gasped in shock.
If that be the case, I was doomed.
"Then, why am I here?" I asked in fear.
"Sad to say that you might be the nex
t victim." She announced, and I gasped in fear.
Just then, the wall ripped open, and the worst happened.
CHAPTER 22.Secret Truth Following the incident of the past day, I've now learned to be more careful while expecting the worst to happen. As I walked through the dark atmosphere, I couldn't help but wonder what had happened to Akira, as a result of yesterday's drama. However, I was going to meet her, and I believed that I'd get answers to my inquisitiveness. As I walked along the lonely paths, I couldn't help but notice the shivers and cold sensation that pierced through my skin. Indeed, the entire atmosphere was cold, and I could feel it in my soul. That was it. It was the moment that I'd been waiting for. After walking for what seemed like an eternity, I could finally see the abandoned oak tree, the venue for our meeting.Standing there and waiting for me was Akira. Immediately when I walked out of the darkness, to the warehouse, I finally heard the voice of Akira, speaking to me. At that moment, the color of her hair illuminated the entire atmosphere, as I took my time to proces
CHAPTER 21.The Awakening. As I walked through the lonely path of the forest, I couldn't help but notice as the sun slowly began to go down. At that moment, even the air that I breathed in the bush felt charged and electrifying, like it was going to magnet me at that moment.Soon, my heart began to ponder heavily, like the weight of our whole city had been placed on it. It was already late, and I didn't know what might be lying in wait for me.As I got close to the clearing that Akira had described to me earlier, the trees began to lean closer, with their branches clapping in mystery. At that moment, the beatings of my heart intensified. In an overwhelming panic, I ran a hand through my hair, while glancing through my immediate environment. At that instant, my gut began to twist in uneasiness, as if it was ready for another shocking revelation."Rory!"I suddenly turned. Immediately I heard my name, and lo, it was Akira, standing just beside the middle of the clearing, with her sha
CHAPTER 20.The hidden truth. As I stood in the middle of the pack's ancestral home, I felt the entire weight of my entire existence being placed on my shoulders. At that moment, the entire atmosphere was covered with the scent of old wood and dust. From what I could see, it was a reflection of the past wisdom of our ancestors, and now the present doom of my generation. As each second passed, and I continued to flip through the pages of the book, I realized that my life had become a mystery that I didn't know anything about. To make matters worse, Kaiden's worried voice kept echoing in my mind."Rory, there's more to this. " The mysteries that surround this incident are bigger than you." His words kept piercing my soul, as I tried to figure out where my problems were coming from.At that moment, I angrily stamped my right foot on the ground in frustration, as I ran my hand through my head.Everyone who was supposed to be on my side on this journey has now become like a ghost sent to
CHAPTER 19.The secret of Rejection.I walked around the faded floorboards of my room, with deep unspoken words, as I inhaled the night breeze. From the look on Kaiden's face, I could tell that he was deeply terrified to the core.He didn't say goodbye, neither did he look at me.The way he left at that moment was okay by me. It was just as if he was running away from something. With each second that passed, I could hear the constant echo of his footsteps. Maybe it was just a figment of my emotions. With all that was happening lately, I knew for sure that I really needed to do more.“What could Kaiden be hiding from me?” I asked myself in utter confusion, as I ran my fingers through my hair. Even though it seemed like my world was clouded with evilness, my only form of solitude was looking at the oak tree outside my house, which was already engulfed by shadows.Another place that was like a sanctuary to me, was Miller's vine grove. It served as a resting place for me, amid all the ch
CHAPTER 18.The midnight encounter. The sunset finally enveloped the entire atmosphere, as Kaiden and I walked towards our den.Indeed, it was a stressful day, but I was glad that we pulled through. As we took each step, my heart pondered in full uncertainty, as I couldn't tell what might be waiting for us.The atmosphere had the smell of damp soil and fresh leaves, which gave a warm earthly smell, whilst letting us know that it'd just rained. As we moved further, I could hear the sound of the crickets and the melodious songs of the birds, which was typical of a forest.“Do you think it'll rain again?” I asked him with a whisper, as I tried very hard to distract myself from the cloud of worry that had overwhelmed me.Immediately, Kaiden looked up to the sky, like he was searching for something. "I don't think it'll rain. However, who knows? " Given the time of the year that we're in, it's hard to tell when it'll rain or not." He said with a calm voice, but as he spoke, I couldn't hel
CHAPTER 17.The mysterious ally.As I stood there in darkness, aside from the moon's constant gaze, we could've been in absolute darkness. I was still mesmerized by the fact that Kaiden came to save me. His calm disposition had shifted the entire aura of the atmosphere, and it was really overwhelming. However, I couldn't shake off the fact that I felt like something was off.I was worried about what I didn't know about."Thank you very much," I said with a tensed voice. " Even though I was scared, I was still very grateful that he came through for me. “Honestly, I didn't know what would've happened if you didn't come to my rescue. Thank you for coming back to save me."Kaiden immediately leaned on a vine tree at the other end of the corner, as he began to look into my eyes."Rory, you don't need anyone to step up and fight for you. You're strong, and I bet you don't know the kind of strength you possess!""Are you for real?" I looked at him with scorn written on my face. “And what do
