The morning came, pale and clammy. Addison woke up first and found that the tree we brought down had made a hole on the ground and that the trunk was stiff.

"Where is Nathan?" I asked when I didn't see him around.

"Recall you sent him on a task yesterday?" Addison mumbled walking around the dead tree like he was looking for something.

"Walking for pleasure! We have another meeting at the hall," I said to him as I saw him doing an expedition.

“My beautiful bat is nowhere to be found! These tree branches do her no good." he stretched.

"After my breakfast, I would have a hot water bath and head to meet the councils. You can join me and wait for me outside the building… since Nathan isn't around," I told him.

"Pfft, only letting me be with you when Nathan is not around.." he scoffed, walking back toward the pack house.
