Chapter 3- I don't think he's a stranger

After checking on Austin, Doctor Sam left the house, and Angie had to see him off while Anita stayed behind with her kid.

He explained how he would be coming to treat Austin at home while still requiring them to bring Austin to the hospital twice a week for necessary tests and chemo until they found a bone marrow match for him. Anita sat next to Austin and ruffled his hair with her hand, thinking about how to actualize her plans. She couldn't continue to wait for a donor; she needed to get pregnant as soon as possible so she could save her son.

Angie returned to the room and kissed Austin lightly on the chin, then Anita concentrated on her phone.

"I'm hungry, Aunt Angie. I'm craving something spicy," Austin declared, making puppy eyes.

"Baby, you know mommy wouldn't want you to eat something spicy," Angie said, taking the boy's hands in hers as she sat by his side.

"You are hungry, right? So let's go get something to eat. But not something spicy," she added with a smile.

Angie carried Austin to the bathroom and ran water for him while Anita fell to the bed and let out a loud sigh, with a lot of thoughts running through her head.

Angie stepped up to the bed and tapped Anita, who was already asleep, after bathing and clothing the kid. She sat up on the bed and opened her eyes slowly.

"Let's go get something nice to eat. I checked out a few restaurants online," Angie told Anita.

Anita stood up from the bed, stretching her body.

"Let me get changed."

The three were seen strolling into a restaurant with all eyes on them in less than thirty minutes. Anita was used to being stared at, but this particular glare drew her attention as she sank into her seat.

Then she noticed Sandra, who was giving her a stern gaze, and let out a low hiss. She turned to Sandra's side, and her heart skipped a beat as her eyes met Leo's. She averted her sight from them and resolved that this would be the last time she looked in their direction.

She could still feel her gaze on her, but she paid no attention to it as she focused on the table in front of her. She smiled at the waitress when her food was served, and her smile melted Leo's heart.

Sandra thought she was even more beautiful than she had seen in photos and magazines on the Internet. She took a deep breath and attempted to concentrate on her food, but it seemed impossible with Anita in the same room as her. She found herself hopelessly glancing at Anita now and then, and no matter how hard she tried not to, she still found herself staring at Anita against her will.

When she spotted all of Leo's focus on Anita, she frowned and curled her hands into a ball as she gazed fiercely at his face. Even Leo was smitten with her; he couldn't take his gaze away from her, which infuriated Sandra. She was staring as well, so who was she to tell Leo not to?

"Leo!" she called with a stern voice.

Leo turned to face her, but his gaze remained fixated on Anita as he looked at her stylishly. He was perplexed as to why Sandra had addressed him in this manner. He knew what he was getting himself into because she only called him by his name when she intended to reprimand him.

"What?" He asked with a raised brow.

"I'm not hungry anymore." In fact, I believe we both ate enough. "Can we leave now?" Sandra inquired, her voice sounding irritated.

"Go home? But why? I haven't even finished my food yet, and you haven't even started touching your food. When you called me earlier, you said you were hungry; why don't I see it?" Leo asked.

"That was then; it's been more than an hour already; things have changed. Let's leave!" Sandra insisted with a livid voice.

Leo didn't want to dispute with her, especially in public, and, more importantly, Anita was there, so he stood up and left. He'd also lost his appetite and didn't think he'd be able to finish the food.

Anita, Angie, and Austin finished their meals and exited the restaurant. Angie suggested going to the mall to get some groceries for the house. At the very least, she would cook for them the next time, saving them from having to eat at the restaurant every day.

The pretense of coming to Los Angeles is because she was signed by the Blue Ray Company. Angie had checked out the best company that fits Anita's status, and the contract came at the right time. At least she would be able to accomplish her main mission, which was to save Austin.

They went to the massive Scott Shopping Mall, and when Anita put on her nose mask and face hat before getting out of the car, avoiding seeing annoyed people like Sandra again, Austin couldn't help but laugh at his mother.

They moved to different sections of the mall as they entered and proceeded to pick out the stuff they needed to manage the house.

A large Spider-Man statue attracted Austin's interest not far from the section they were in, and he went toward the toy and began admiring it.

As Austin admired the statue, a well-known multi-billionaire approached from the opposite direction. Alexander Scott is a no-nonsense businessman.

He became known for his outstanding physique, charming face, grey eyes, black hair, and deep voice. To top it all off, he stands at a perfect height of about six feet. He walked around the massive mall with two security guards by his side. Since the mall was one of his assets, many people had posted complaints about it online, and Alex had decided to look into them.

Austin, who had been walking aimlessly in the mall looking for his mother and Angie, saw Alexander with his guards and thought he was cute, just like the huge Superman he saw, and wished he could get his hands on his black suit, which complemented the black shiny shoe he wore with the thick dark glass, which he immediately removed when his eyes locked with Austin's bright eyes.

Austin immediately bowed to the ground and touched his shoe. The guards attempted to remove Austin, but Alexander unexpectedly stopped them.

Alexander moved closer to Austin, looking him in the eyes as he dropped himself to his level. Austin blinked again before steadily opening his gray eyes to focus on Alexander.

"Austin, didn't I warn you about talking to strangers?" Angie's voice grew as she approached the duo, who were staring at each other. Austin smiled, revealing his set of milk teeth and puppy eyes, and replied,

"But I don't think he's a stranger. He looks just like me." Austin said, and continued,

"Auntie Angie, where is Mummy? She's not with you? Is she hiding again?"

With that, Angie immediately took him away from Alexander, avoiding his question.

Alexander's eyes followed the little kid, trying to figure out their resemblance.

'What could it be?' he thought, looking at them as they disappeared in the corner, then he suddenly smiled.

"Ohh, another gray eyes man."
