Chapter 39: Teaching her a lesson

"Daddy! Is that you?" Austin asked as his eyes met Alex's, their gray eyes fixed on each other. Alex could immediately spot that he needed no DNA to prove that this kid actually belonged to him.

He furrowed his brows as he stared at the young lad.

He wondered if he already knew he was his dad the day they met at the mall; that was probably the reason he was so fascinated by him back then.

"Did you know who I was the first day you met me at the mall?" He demanded, staring into the face of the young child that was fixed on him.

Austin simply shook his head. "I just found out yesterday that Aunty Angie showed me your picture, but she made me promise not to tell Mom."

Alex clenched his fist but tried to remain calm on the outside.

How could Anita be so cruel? How could she hide him from his son?

He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair with his other hand on his waist, then he turned to Austin.

"Listen, son. I want to take you somewhere. Will you come with me?"
