Bryan and Stephanie made their way to the garden, not finding Old Man Donovan in his room. A maid informed them she had seen Old Man Donovan in the garden, and there he was sitting on the rocking chair, drinking his favorite green tea.

Taking cautious steps towards him, when the old man spoke, stopping them in their tracks.

“I know why you're here”. He had been expecting them after all.

Both husband and wife glanced at each other, before taking hurried steps towards him. “Father you need to call off the engagement”, Stephanie was the first to speak.

“And why's that?” Ryn asked nonchalantly, not bothering to look at them. His gaze focused on the flower field in front of him.

“Dad you won't be pleased if I tell you this but…”, Bryan spoke this time.

“I've seen the post son”. Ryn confessed, interrupting his son, rather calmly much to their surprise.

“And?” Stephanie asked nervously, feeling uneasy about her father-in-law's composure. “Or was it just the calm before the storm”.

“Yes__”.
