I stood by the window of my bedroom. My hands were shoved deep into my pockets. Below me, on the front lawn, I could see the reporters. They looked like ants crawling over each other.

They were waiting for me to come out and cry. They were waiting for me to say I hated my wife.

They were going to wait a long time.

"Elias? Are you still in there?"
