Lila POV.

I woke up the next morning to meet myself all alone in bed and for some unknown reason, disappointment ran through me.

I let out a groan, my head throbbing as the sun light from outside burst into the room through the window.

I stirred, feeling my thighs aching as I blushed, remembering all that happened last night. My heart skipped a beat as I found myself desiring his warmth all over again.

'But does that meant he accepted me?' I pondered, remembering how he ignored his wife and choose me Infront of everyone.

"Perhaps he wasn't as bad as rumored?" I muttered to myself, more like asking as I played with my fingers.

The sheets were suddenly cold where he’d laid, and his powerful scent, a mixture of cider and rose fading. I sat up slowly, pressing the silk sheet to my chest, glancing around the room I was in fully.

I had barely had the time to admire when the door creaked open, and my breath got caught in my throat.
