The Blood Promise

Everyone was stunned by Kaitlyn's decision. The Blood Promise was an ancient ritual, almost forgotten these times. It was bonding one witch to another, and there was no way to escape the punishment if you betrayed your sisters.

That was why Blood Promise was almost forgotten. Trust was not valued amongst witches since they easily sided with anyone who had power, turning their backs on the old allies.

That was also a reason why witches were hated by other shifters living on the continent.

And now, leaders of all covens had to accept Kaitlyn's offer or face the consequences, and she had already proved her strength. Bethany and Carla paid a price for underestimating her.

- So, how is it going to be?- Kaitlyn asked, scanning the room.

No witch was brave enough to speak first.

Finally, Dorothea stood up from her seat.

- I will do it. I wouldn't say I like the idea, but living under the Dragon King's rules is not an option for me either. I am a witch, and I want to live like one.
