“I know I asked you to be brave and to explore your comfort zone, but this—this is too much!” Beta Mason, who looked younger than his age, wiped his face from exploding right in front of his daughter. He paced in the living room while Diana and his mate, Lorraine, remained seated on the sofa.

Beta Mason and his wife, Lorraine, let an entire night pass before interrogating their daughter. The sudden change of disposition of Diana, their usually timid child, was so abrupt that it sent the old couple into a loop.

“Your father is right, darling. The Tribute Ceremony is only for those who have lost their mates.”

‘If you only know what my supposed mate will bring in this family along with that woman, Mother, Father,’ Diana thought beneath her collected façade. She stood and faced her father—something the previous Diana would never dare to do. She spoke in a resolute tone. “Dad, Mum, do you trust me?”

“Of course! What kind of question is that?” answered Beta Mason.

“Of course, we do, darling.” Lorraine stood as well.

Diana met her parents’ gazes. “Then trust me when I say this. I am done hiding behind you and I will not regret this even if my mate arrives.”

She watched as her parents looked at each other before they shifted their look toward her.

Beta Mason finally sighed in defeat before engulfing her and her mother in a tight, warm hug. He caressed Diana’s hair as he sighed once more. “Ayah… My daughter is now a grown-up, huh? She decides on her own already, leaving this poor old man already.”

Lorraine patted Beta Mason’s arm. “Darling, there is an old saying that daughters are meant to leave the nest once they find their mates. For our daughter, she wants to explore the world and decide for herself rather than let fate take its own course.”

Beta Mason let go upon hearing his mate’s words. He guided his girls to the sofa and pinned his attention on Diana. “You understand how the Tribute Ceremony works, right?”

Diana nodded. She knew it all like the back of her palms. After all, she once organized a Tribute Ceremony when she was still the Luna of the Crescent Pack.

With a faint smile, she held her father’s cold hands. “Don’t worry, Dad, Mum. I know it more than you think.” Diana looked at the wall clock. “Oh! Look at the time. I still need to do what’s on the Luna’s to-do list. Don’t wait for me tonight, okay?”

“What? So suddenly?”

“But I cooked your favorite pie…”

Diana merely waved her hand at her parents before she fled from their house as if her ass was on fire. She did not waste a single second and jogged to where the scene of the Luna came from. With the to-do list in her hand, she did her best to straighten the crumpled parts before appearing beside the cooking Luna.

“Luna, I have readied the wines to be used for this night’s banquet.”

Luna Riza, who was clad in her apricot-colored apron, set aside the baking utensils and crossed the distance between her and Diana. “I heard about the small incident from my husband. I thought you will not be back. Are you alright? You are not pushing yourself too hard, right?”

Diana bit back the smile that was threatening to erupt upon the genuine concern of the mother of the man who was responsible for her demise. Despite the past that she had endured, she never forgot the kindness of the woman before her upon the news of her pregnancy.

She stepped backward, steeling herself as she shook her head. “I’m fine, really. Uhm, Luna… Where is the delegation of the Blood Claws Pack?” Diana whispered her question.

Completely taking it the wrong way, Luna Riza immediately held Diana’s hands. “Go and take the supplies I ordered from the town. It should be in the fourth bullet in the list I gave you. Don’t lurk around the pack house, especially this afternoon, hmmm?”

For a second, Luna Riza went pale after seeing a malicious glint beneath the doe-like eyes of the girl she treated as a daughter. In a blink, the vile intent emitting from Diana vanished—as if it was never there in the first place. Shaking her head inwardly, Luna Riza ruled what she saw as a figment of imagination. After all, Diana was the sweetest girl in the pack she knew.

Seeing the ashen Luna before her, Diana realized how she let her emotion slip. Smiling widely, she linked her arms around the Luna. Adjusting her voice to the sweet tone she used to have way back in her teen years, Diana spoke. “Thank you, Luna Riza. I will surely stay in the town until….”

“Until I called you.”

“Yes. Until I receive a call from you.”

Diana left the kitchen of the pack house like an obedient puppy.

But the moment she was in a safe distance to be smelled by the Luna, Diana took a detour to the only place on the to-do list where it gravitated solely in the pack house—the warehouse. Diana did not forget to take a small empty box of a crate as she strode to the warehouse with her vigilance raised to its peak.

With every step she took, she had to calm her pounding heart. And with a pair of clammy hands, she drew a deep breath before sniffing around.

Her wolf whimpered softly. For a wolf counterpart who barely gave responses to Diana, this reaction was a telltale sign that there was danger nearby.

On cue, the moment she took a step inside the dimly lit warehouse, she immediately heard a low growl that shook the stale air around her.

“Leave.”

A sexy baritone voice resonated from Diana’s right side.

“If I don’t want to, will you pin me on the ground again?” Diana looked in his direction and was met by his silhouette cloaked with darkness.

Alpha Dylan Cain released a warning growl again—this time, it was much closer to Diana.

“No. This time, I will snap your pretty little neck before I feed your corpse to my wolves.” In a blink of an eye, the Blood Alpha was now standing a foot behind her. As he spoke, his hot breath fanned over her nape, eliciting a sharp gasp from her lips.

Diana was about to turn around and face the renowned ruthless alpha when a pair of calloused hands held her arms firmly, stopping her from moving an inch from her spot.

“Get out and never look back.”

Diana’s jaws clenched. Had it not been for the strong grip on her arms, she would have turned around and given him a sharp glare. “Listen, Alpha Dylan Cain, and listen well. I know you are looking for a Luna for the Blood Claws Pack to stabilize your pack’s image in front of the Werewolf Committee. I, Diana Ritchell, can be that Luna for you.” She patted her chest. “If you pick me, you will reap the benefits that will make your pack stronger…. Stronger than the Werewolf Committee, that is your goal, right? You hate being pressured, right? You want the Werewolf Committee off your mind, right?”

Diana remembered the incident of the Tribute Ceremony which she failed to attend because she was so scared of the Blood Alpha. Fueled by Anastasia's manipulation, Diana stayed inside her room the whole day, only to hear the news about how the winner of the Tribute Ceremony used her special privilege to pick a potential—the winner pointed at the Blood Alpha.

‘That woman won more than the empty title of a Luna and a meaningless mate bond. She earned power through the union and that is something greater than titles and bonds—sheer power to change the flow of fate,’ Diana thought with clenched fists. ‘I will make that power mine. I will change my fate and my parents even if it means selling myself to the devil himself.’

He let go of her arms. But as soon as she sighed, pain erupted around her neck.

With his long and strong fingers, he was able to strangle Diana from behind. Inch by painful inch, Diana’s feet dangled away from the dusty floor.

“You know what I way, you say.” A low and cold burst of laughter emitted from the Blood Alpha before he continued. His sinister voice held the promise of pain and sorrow for Diana. “Funny how I only want to snap your pretty little neck right now. Right now, it is not the committee that I want. It is your neck.”

Diana flailed from his grip yet not a single shed of tear escaped from her enraged pair of eyes. She slapped, scratched, and kicked—all of it was proven useless in the face of the stoic Blood Alpha.

In a squeaky voice, she screamed the words that would either kill her or save her.

“G-Go ahead—” Cough. “—a-and kill me—” Cough. “—or y-you will ne-never know how your mate died!”

  • Rejected Luna's Vengeance    FINALE OF BOOK 1

Long ago, when the Moon Goddess slept inside the cradle of oblivion, Comba was the only god of the world. Just like how the Moon Goddess blessed the werewolves with their wolf counterparts, Comba blessed the witches with the ability to command the nature at will across the seven seas. The gift given by Comba was the reason why witches stood at the peak of the chain with so much difference in power compared to the races beneath them. It was because of this peculiar and convenient blessing that the witches were both revered and feared by the other races. They revered them for their strength and they feared them for the little sense of empathy towards the lower races. They treated the werewolves as their slaves. For many centuries, werewolves were skinned as their clothes while the werewolves’ heads hanged by their homes and gates as ornaments. It was a time that werewolves almost became instinct. Female werewolves were exploited for sick entertainment while male werewolves were used as

Clad in an epsilon-ranked uniform of the enemy camp, the shade of red and black did wonders against the snow-like complexion of Dana and the noble elf as they trudged the empty plains of the southern territory. Kicking the piles of snow and stones in her way, Diana cleared the path for Gelong who was walking behind her like a duckling following its mother goose. The heaving sound of a set of constricted lungs made her stop. She turned around as she untied the black tattered satin from her neck before she placed it around Gelong’s frostbitten neck and chin.“We will find a safety spot for you with food and enough heat to last you as you wait for me.” Diana muttered under her breath. A ghost of a translucent smoke escaped from her chapped lips.Upon her words, Gelong lifted her chin to meet a set of orbs staring at him already – making him want to step back like always. “Where are you going? You are not planning to go into this plan without me, aren’t you?”On instinct, his hands found

Heavy footsteps together with the rattling of chains echoed within the empty corridors of the fortress they were staying at. The silent breathing of the elven folk did not leave unnoticed for Diana as the two of them were on high alert as they trudged within the hallways of the keep. Diana gritted her canines, enough to make her taste her blood trailing down her throat. She did not like, especially Teshin, how they were chain into submission. Had it not been for the remaining logic within her mind, she was sure that the corridor walls would have bathed the blood of the delta-ranked werewolf traitors.Three trecherous delta-ranked werewolves, clad with their uniforms which the insignia of the secret circle was embroidered, wore smug faces as they held the leash that the prisoners were bound to. One of the delta-ranked werewolves, who had a bloody knuckle, pulled the leash he was holding on a whim. On cue, Diana stumbled forward – losing her footing and which made her chin kiss the dust

Tears started to stream from her unblinking eyes. The color of her eyes darkened that it almost looked like the starless northern night sky as she stared at the enemy alpha, who was grinning down at her.She plead, “Please. Please, give me a chance to be of used to you. That elf can only do so much while I am better tenfold than her.”Crimson ink dropped onto the pristine tiled floor. The tip of the claw grazed Diana’s throat. Upon seeing her crying face, the first alpha, who was apprehensive about everything, was about to step forward when the second alpha, who was constantly courting death, spoke again. “Bring him in.”On cue, the enormous double doors of the throne room opened followed by the rattling of chains and the painful grunts of the person being dragged ensued. Diana, who was not able to turn her head, waited for the person to be brought in front of her. The nagging instinct she had made her quiver with fear.“Let us welcome our very important guest, everyone! Gelong the No

“You must go while you still can. They will ask me about you after they get their hands on Gelong. Before then, you must leave the place and come back to where you come from. With your ability, I know that you can survive escaping from this place. That place is safer for you than remaining here.” Her nose smelled his unfamiliar scent and a change of his hair color along with the difference in his height. Gone was the scent that Diana was used to.Diana shook his head. “It is too late for that.”“What?”In front of Diana, the fading mirage of Gelong together with the loud thud of the dungeon’s entrance bombarded her. The moment that the heavy footsteps appeared before her, the enemy leader had already disappeared.‘Teleportation? Is this also one of his powers? How did the enemy become this strong?’ Diana’s train of thought snapped when a werewolf invaded her senses.“Move!” A werewolf pushed Diana away from the iron bars which made her stagger. A loud banging sound resonated when the

A couple of meters away from him, wildflowers started to bloom in the middle of the snowstorm. The trail of flowers led to the trudging person, heading in the direction of the man. Amidst the temperature, his thin cloth barely covered his dainty body paired with his bare feet that buried a mark on the white-colored ground with every step he took, and a pair of eyes glowed like the rising moon.“Took you long enough to come here,” said the man who waited. His back was on him when he stood a meter away from the newly arrived person.“I enjoyed the last of my vacation for I know that the time has come for us to move; we will have no luxury to relax anymore.” The sweet voice answered the man. He took a step and moved ahead, striding past him before he kneeled in front of the tomb. “Rush vanala. It has been years since I last talked to you, but now we can’t do that anymore.” Lumeria, the dryad, heaved a shaky sigh before he continued. “And like what I promised, the wolven race is at stake.

  • Rejected Luna's Vengeance    Hostage

Diana, who was left alone with the leader of the enemy, started to question why she was there. She somehow realized that it was not sheer curiosity that made him call her—it was something more. And for whatever it was, Diana felt she would not like wherever this ‘talk’ was going.“You are from the Crescent Pack, right? And you’re a hybrid as well.” The enemy leader started to speak without even telling her to raise her head.“Yeah right.” Though her head was bent down, Diana spoke with a clear and calm voice which the enemy leader found quite vexing. His eyes gleamed with malediction.“And when was the last heat of your pretty little shapeshifter? I am quite curious to spawn a hybrid of an elf and a wolf. They said that male elves can conceive as well.” This time, the enemy leader cracked a grin upon seeing the hybrid luna in front of him go rigid. He was ecstatic to know that the infamous hybrid luna’s weakness was someone so trivial —something that should be easy to deal with. Seein

  • Rejected Luna's Vengeance    Prisoner

‘I have parents to avenge and a pack to protect – from the sidelines. Killing the abominations will be my priority to stop the plausible scenario where the innocent would get killed in a war, not theirs to fight and die for. I need this war to stop escalating, and I need my mate and my vassals to do that. But where are they?’Teshin, after encountering Shananel, answered at the back of her mind. ‘They are nearby, Diana. I can sense them.’Diana wandered her predatory eyes discreetly as her head bent down, but she could not even see a single hair of Dylan’s electric blue eyes or a shade of Gelong’s locks. The scene wherein she saw Gelong being surrounded and enclosed by the phantoms struck her mind.‘I have to go back and find him. All I need is to present this plan to the southern alphas. I bet they will allow me if I told them about my capability to use the offensive flame spells—this way, I can venture out beyond the barrier. After all, I still have the advantage of being a reborn h

  • Rejected Luna's Vengeance    Behind Bars

A small table was placed near her with a jar and a cup of water along with a piece of bread and dried meat. There were also some white pieces of cloth folded neatly beside the place as if Dylan was telling her to change her wretched clothes. The lamp that was hanging near the pillar had almost ran out of flame and the dozens of rushed footsteps from different directions right outside her tent were a telltale sign that the war had taken a pause but it was yet to end.“I am in an Alliance encampment,” said Diana as realization dawned upon her. After taking all the pieces together, she was a hundred percentile sure that the blood alpha had brought her in the encampment.‘Then, the abominations and Shananel did not chase us. What about Gelong?’Though staggering, Diana stood from the makeshift bed and walked around – her bare feet did not deter upon the contact with the cold ground. Her frantic eyes landed on the crescent-shaped blade which was now clean compared to what she remembered. T
