LOGINReina's POV
The pain in my chest burned fiercely as I stumbled out of Zayne’s apartment. My knees were trembling under the crushing weight of rejection and betrayal. It felt as though my heart had been torn apart and carelessly thrown back into my chest, still bleeding and aching. But I forced myself to keep moving. I refused to collapse in front of them. I refused to give them the satisfaction of seeing me break. I would not fall there and let Zayne and Mariana laugh at my weakness. No matter how much it hurt, I had to leave with whatever dignity I had left. As I walked, a thousand questions crowded my mind. How could I have been so blind? How could I never realize that Zayne never truly loved me? My hand instinctively pressed against my chest as if I could somehow hold my heart together. It clenched painfully, as though it might shatter at any moment. I found it was difficult to breathe and even focus. Tears streamed endlessly down my face, blurring my vision. I felt abandoned, discarded as if I had never meant anything at all. All the sacrifices I had made, all the effort I had put into building my life, all the love I had poured into him, it suddenly felt meaningless. I had worked hard to make something of myself. I had been ready to stand by Zayne, to support him in every way I could, to walk beside him as his mate and his partner. Yet in his eyes, I was nothing more than a burden. Just like I had always been to my father. That realization hurt more than anything else. I didn’t even notice when I passed through the gates. My body moved on its own, guided only by pain. Before I could stop myself, my legs gave out, and I sank to the ground. I curled into myself, burying my face between my knees, my shoulders shaking violently with sobs. My voice broke as I whispered into the empty night. “Why…? Why did it have to be this way, Moon Goddess?” The phone in my pocket rang, and I finally stood up. My father was calling me, which never happened before. I sniffled my sobs and answered the call for one last time. "Yes, Dad?" "Whatever you're doing, leave that. And come home," Fredrick, my father, commanded from the other side of the phone. "Okay." I hung up and hailed a taxi home. The journey came to an end soon. I had made up my mind. I would tell my father that I no longer wanted his charity and would go my separate ways. However, the moment I stepped into the house, I saw imposing men in black dresses lined up in a circle in the living room. "Reina, where were you? Why didn't you hurry home?" My stepmother, Madam Britney, rushed to me, grabbing my arm. "What's happening? Who are they?" I asked her. He was easily over six feet tall, his presence dominating the room the moment he stood. When he turned toward me, I froze in place, unable to move or breathe. The golden eyes of the man screamed that he was someone powerful. Stories whispered among werewolves spoke of Alphas with golden eyes. They were rare beings blessed by the Moon Goddess herself. They were said to be the most powerful rulers in existence, feared and respected by all. And now, one of them was standing right in front of me. My gaze drifted over his appearance. His jawline was sharp and perfectly defined, while his shoulders were broad and strong. The muscles beneath his white shirt stretched with every movement, hinting at immense strength restrained beneath calm control. "Alpha Damon, this is Reina Ashfall. You must have already known about her origin. I must not say this,s but she's my illegitimate daughter," Fredrick spoke. What the hell was happening? Why did my father introduce me like that? And then, Damon strode to me. My stepmother had already moved as if she was scared of this man. Before I could step away, Damon's calloused fingers brushed my cheek, and a sound radiated from his mother, "I've been looking for you, mate, for over a decade. Finally, you're mine."Damon's POV The moment we arrived at the palace, I checked my phone. The real-time tracking data from Reina showed Alfwin’s location was pinging near the warrior barracks."Oliver, stay here," I commanded, not wanting to draw attention.I rushed toward the barracks on foot. When I reached the training grounds, the courtyard was bustling; the pack warriors were focused on training with the new, advanced equipment that had recently been commissioned. My eyes scanned the crowd, cutting through the movement until they locked onto a figure with a bowed head walking toward the equipment storage room.Using my wolf's speed, I bridged the distance in a fraction of a second, appearing directly in front of him to block his path."Alfwin," I stated. His eyes widened, and he instantly took a step back, his muscles tensing as he prepared to bolt. Before he could turn, I lunged forward, grabbing his wrist. With a swift twist of his arm, I forced him forward and pinned him flat against the neares
Reina's POVThe moment Damon’s message flashed on my screen, I shifted into work mode. It had been over a month since I’d touched my laptop. I began by installing a custom recognition software I’d developed, needing its specific algorithms to bypass the standard filters. Once the installation bar hit 100%, I fed the image of the man with the burn scar into the system and let it search through the national databases.Lines of code blurred past as the software cross-referenced the image against millions of public and private records. Minutes felt like hours until a match was found.I leaned in, clicking on the profile that had been flagged. The file was heavily encrypted and buried under layers of digital "red tape." As I bypassed the final security wall, the truth became clear. This man had officially been declared deceased three years ago, but the digital trail told a different story."He didn't just disappear," I whispered to the empty room, my fingers flying across the keys to tr
Third Person's POV "Angus, what are we doing in this empty building?" Damon asked, his eyes scanning the incomplete structure of the floor. The Alpha Prince didn't answer immediately. Instead, he picked up a pair of binoculars and gestured for Damon to look through them. "The rogue land is completely visible from this vantage point. Kayden and Oliver will stay here to provide overwatch and keep an eye on our surroundings. You and I will move into the rogue town on foot," Angus explained the plan. Damon lifted the binoculars to his eyes. Through the high-powered lenses, the lawless sprawl of the rogue lands came into sharp focus, the dilapidated structures and narrow, winding alleys of the town lay exposed."Your Highness, let's change the plan," Damon stated, lowering the binoculars and meeting Angus's gaze. "Oliver and I will go into the town. The Alpha King will have my head if another attack happens on your watch. You need to listen to me on this, Angus. You're too high-profile
Third Person's POVAfter lunch, Damon prepared to depart for his meeting with Alpha Prince Angus."I have to head out as well," Ada announced, checking her watch."What? Where to?" Reina asked, her expression tightening with concern."Headquarters called me in for an immediate report," Ada explained. "I think something significant is happening; they refused to give any details over the phone.""It’s likely they’ve finalized the missions for the new recruits," Damon noted, reaching for his keys. "We’ll drop you off. The headquarters is on our way."Ada hesitated, shifting her weight. "Damon, I don't want to complicate your schedule with my business.""It's fine. Go with them," Reina encouraged, offering a reassuring smile.Ada stepped forward and pulled Reina into a firm hug. "I'll see you soon. Take care of yourself.""You too," Reina replied. As they pulled apart, she added, "This place is always open to you. Don't hesitate to come back whenever you can.""I won't," Ada promised.Nea
Reina's POV The next morning, I woke to birds chirping outside on the balcony. Pale morning light slipped through the gaps in the curtains, casting a gentle glow across the room. I was still curled tightly against Damon, my leg draped over his, one arm resting across his chest as he slept. The smooth silk of a nightdress brushed against my bare skin. I didn’t remember him putting it on me. At some point after I’d fallen asleep, he must have cleaned me up and dressed me.A slow smile formed on my lips as the memories from last night came back clearly. Instead of embarrassment, a deep, warm satisfaction settled in my body. I was genuinely glad my first time had been with him. It had been better than anything I’d imagined, patient, intense, and surprisingly natural. He had guided me through it, helping me let go and discover how much pleasure I was capable of feeling. For the first time, I felt completely at ease in my own skin. Closing my eyes, I snuggled closer to him, my body stil
Reina's POVI pressed my hand firmly against his chest and pushed. Damon let me flip him onto his back. I quickly climbed on top, straddling his hips. His hands instantly gripped my waist as I rolled my hips slowly over him, feeling his manhood pressing against me through the fabric.“Don’t tease me like that, mate,” he growled. His eyes flashed golden, the control in them slipping fast. “Where the hell did you learn that?”“I watched it in a series once,” I answered, a little breathless.I grabbed the hem of his shirt and pulled it off, revealing his broad, muscled chest. My palms slid over his warm skin, tracing the hard ridges of his abs and pectorals. My fingers brushed across the dark tattoos that covered his scars. They were beautiful in their own raw way.I leaned down and pressed a slow, open-mouthed kiss right in the center of his chest. A deep groan rumbled out of him, vibrating against my lips. His grip on my hips tightened, fingers digging into my skin as I continued pepp
Reina’s POVDamon pulled the car into the parking lot. As we stepped out, he rounded the vehicle and immediately took my hand."You chose the flowers quite carefully," he noted, his gaze drifting down to the bouquet of white lilies I held."White is a symbol of peace. And because we are in the Moon
Reina's POV Damon was mere centimeters from my face, his breath warm against my skin, when a sharp knock shattered the silence of the room. The door swung open before we could even pull apart."Your father has arrived, Damon. My apologies for the unfortunate timing," Oliver announced, keeping a pr
Reina’s POVI rubbed my eyes as the morning sun flooded the bedroom. Memories of last night came rushing back, making me wince. "I took my anger out on Damon instead of the person who actually earned it," I whispered, pulling my knees to my chest. I remembered Damon’s promise to confront his nephew
Damon’s POVI watched her for a moment, my heart tightening at the sight of her small, trembling form. My gaze dropped to her feet. She had run out here barefoot. The thought of her skin being cut or bruised by the gravel path made my protective instincts flare."Give me a chance to prove my loyalty
