45: The awakening

I don't know what happened after I felt so much pain in my stomach. The last thing I remember was that I vomited, and Demian was close to me. He looked at me in surprise and called for help, but I passed out.

The pain disappeared. It stopped, and I was grateful, but my vision was dark.

I didn't know where I was, but I knew this couldn't be real. Was I dreaming? Why couldn't I see anything? Where was I? What kind of dream was this?

I heard voices in the distance and wondered who they were. Two men were arguing, but I couldn't understand what they were saying until the voices came closer. Then, I discovered who they belonged to.

Demian and Jeremy.

They were both fighting over me. Jeremy accused Demian of doing this to me while he wasn't around, but Demian didn't hurt me. On the contrary, I saw him as worried about me as never before. If there's something that stayed etched in my memory, it was the look of terror he gave me when I vomited blood.
