44. Deception

[Zeve’s POV]

“Amor!” I yelled. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Those chains swam like snakes into thin air and clutched Amor in themselves.

Mayavi glared at me without saying a word. I kept peering at her, trying to decipher her gaze. “Who are you?” She asked.

Venus stood in front of me, “s-she is his p-partner. B-but you don’t need her, right? Please let her go.”
