Reece felt Breeana melt against him as he kissed her. She felt warm, soft and small against him. He felt his protective instincts flare up. He would protect her at all costs.

Breeana pulled away and looked at him as though he was a dream made manifest.

He dropped one more kiss on her lips and another on her forehead unable to help himself where she was concerned.

Breeana grappled for words and he felt her emotions along the bond. Surprise, disbelief, want and then an odd sense of shame came upon her.

"But how could you love me?" She sounded combative now as though he was joking. "I betrayed your trust. Cheated with someone else, the pack mistrusts me and want you to take a consort because any child I have with you wíll be suspected of dubious parentage."

Tears streaked her cheeks. It would seem that she really believed that she had cheated on him.
