The following day, the King walked around the palace's corridors looking for something to occupy his mind off his mate. He had even blocked her out just to prevent himself from storming straight to Asteroy to bring her back.

She needs space, he reminded himself. It's the least he could do after everything he had done.

Everyone bowed as he passed by and covertly glanced at him to see why he was strolling through the hallways, which was unusual for him as he teleports.

As if that hasn't shocked them enough, they saw him going to the Eastern Quarters, one that belonged to Lord Osiris and Lady Rayvinn.

The guards were also shocked and didn't know how to react. They wanted to stop him but can't, knowing it was the King.

They too wanted to rush outside to report to Osiris, but the King's stare stopped them in their tracks. “Your Majesty!”
