Unexpected Fated Mates

DIANE'S POV

I went up the stairs into the hallway and my eyes swept down the long hallway which had five rooms. Seven chandeliers hung on the ceiling and there were various types of exquisite artwork which included paintings and sculptures.

The first room was Alpha Denzel's room. The second one next to it was Luna Morgana's room, and the three other rooms were the guest rooms.

I headed to Alpha Denzel's room and took a deep breath when I got to the door to his room. For reasons I couldn't fathom, I was anxious.

My intuition kept telling me that something significant would happen with the Alpha today and I wondered what it could be.

I hesitated for some seconds before I rang the doorbell.

After a couple of minutes, the door swung open and Alpha Denzel and I made eye contact.

His lustrous Sapphire blue eyes looked into my dazzling angelic grey eyes and for a moment, I was held spellbound.

He always has this effect on me whenever he looks into my eyes especially when we are close to each other. 

After a couple of seconds, my eyes swept over him.

His blonde hair was wet as well as his body which was dripping with water. It was obvious he just had a shower. He was naked except for a white towel wrapped around his waist.

For some seconds, I gazed at his square-shaped handsome face with attractive facial features before my eyes swept over his thick neck, huge biceps and triceps, huge muscular chest, six-pack abs, and down to his muscular legs and bare broad feet.

He was a huge tall man. I once asked him his height and he told me that he his six feet, four inches tall.

To my dismay, my naughty mind took control of my senses and I couldn't help imagining him cuddling and kissing me.

Suddenly, a pleasant erotic masculine scent drifted into my nostrils. It smelt like a mixture of sandalwood, rosewood, and musk.

As I was wondering why he was emitting the scent, he suddenly started sniffing.

He leaned forward towards me and sniffed my forehead. I also sniffed his face and caught a strong whiff of the pleasant erotic scent.

He raised his head and we gazed at each other in shock as we realized that we were fated mates.

For some seconds, we were silent and stared at each other in shock. 

"Diane Logan, you smell like a mixture of jasmine, lavender, and vanilla. The most pleasant scent I have smelled in my entire life. The mixture of the scent with your feminine smell is driving me crazy," he said in a husky voice.

I was filled with joy that I could barely contain.

"Alpha Denzel, you smell so erotic and so masculine. I have never met a man that smells so good," I said in a whisper.

"Diane, I have always known that there is something special about you but it never crossed my mind that you could be my fated mate. Please, come inside," he said as he gently held my right hand, turned around, and headed to his bed gently pulling me.

As I entered the room, I used my left hand to shut the door.

My eyes swept across the large luxurious room. It was painted white and the floor had marble tiles. There were several state-of-the-art equipment which include a large plasma TV, a home theatre, a sound system, a split air conditioner, a fridge, and some other equipment I don't know their names.

There was a large bed with a purple-coloured duvet, a large white-coloured wardrobe, two sets of drawers, and a moderate-sized reading table with a laptop and some books on top of it.

There was a large window at the end of the room with gold curtains drawn slightly open and there were four white leather sofas against the wall. It was a lovely room befitting an Alpha.

As we got to the edge of the bed, he pulled me to his body and gazed at me.

"I have a birthday gift for you," he said with a husky voice.

"Wow...I love gifts," I said with a chuckle.

"Wait a minute, let me get it," he said and disengaged from me.

I watched him as he walked to the set of drawers. He opened the first drawer and brought out a small parcel with a red ribbon. He walked up to me and gave it to me.

"This is my gift to you on your eighteenth birthday. I hope you will like it," he said with a charming smile.

"I guess I will!" I said with glee.

"Come with me," he said as he held my hand gently and we walked to his bed.

"Sit down and open it," he ordered.

I sat down on the bed and he sat down beside me.

For some seconds, I looked at the square-shaped small parcel with a red ribbon tied around it.

"Why are you staring at it? Go ahead and open it," he said smiling.

I slowly loosened the ribbon and removed the wrapping paper to reveal a small black box.

I slowly opened the box as Alpha Denzel watched me steadily.

I gasped with surprise as I saw a diamond necklace with a pendant in the box.

"Oh, my word! It is so lovely," I whispered.

"I hope you like it," Alpha Denzel said smiling.

"I love it! I have never seen such a beautiful necklace in my entire life," I said as I picked up the necklace from the box and gazed at it in awe.

"I'm glad you love it," he said beaming with a smile.

"Can I wear it now?" I asked gazing at him.

"Of course, you can. It's yours," he said with a grin.

"Can you help me with it?" I asked.

"Of course but before you wear it, I want you to open the pendant," he said.

I was surprised and asked, "Is something in the pendant?"

"Open it and find out," he whispered.

I gazed at the lovely diamond pendant for some seconds and slowly opened it.

I gasped with surprise when I saw the inscription, 'From Alpha Denzel to Diane Logan.'

For some seconds, I stared at the inscription in awe as my eyes welled up with tears.

"This is so lovely. It is the best gift I have ever received. I couldn't have wished for anything better. This means so much to me. Words can't express my gratitude. Thank you so much," I said in an emotionally laden voice as tears streamed down my face.

"I'm elated that you love it. This was the reason I asked you to come to see me. I wanted to surprise you but I never knew fate had a bigger surprise for me and you. I guess it's a good gift for my fated mate," he said beaming with a smile.

"It's more than a good gift. It is a perfect gift. Please, help me to fasten the clasp," I whispered with an emotionally laden voice as I put the necklace around my neck and turned my face away from him.

He leaned over to me and grasped the necklace. He lifted my hair and gently fastened the clasp.

The necklace felt cool against my warm skin. I looked down at the pendant sparking and touched it. I then smiled as I turned to look at him.

"Wow...it looks lovely around your neck and sort of matches your grey eyes. The pendant is sparking just like your lovely eyes," he said with a charming smile.

Although I felt ecstatic about getting such a precious gift from him, I was troubled.

Now that it has turned out that Alpha Denzel is my fated mate, what will become of us considering that we have Luna Morgana to contend with?

Just then, I had that feeling of impending doom and I became worried and nervous.

My intuition is rarely wrong so, I thought of who could cause me trouble and a voice in my head said Luna Morgana.

Fear gripped my heart cos the last thing I wanted was to get into trouble with her. Getting into trouble with Luna Morgana is tantamount to getting into trouble with the Devil.

But why did fate give Alpha Denzel to me as my mate knowing that he is already mated to Luna Morgana? 

Although I'm in love with Alpha Denzel, I never expected he would be my fated mate. Oh, Moon Goddess, what have you done?
