DIANE'S POVI glanced at the wall clock. It was a quarter to six. Alpha Denzel usually calls me on the phone early in the morning on my birthdays to wish me a happy birthday, so, I was expecting his call. However, since he had not called, I decided to go and take a shower.I turned my head to look at Melody and I reached out to pat her hair with a smile on my face. DIANE'S POV The sound of someone crying woke me up. I opened my eyes and felt a severe headache which made me to quickly shut my eyes and winced in pain. I could perceive the strong smell of medication as I lifted my hand and touched my head. "Ouch!" I exclaimed as I moved my hand around my head. I was surprised to realize that my head was heavily bandaged. The strong smell of medication and the bandage around my head made me figure out that I was in the hospital. Why is my head bandaged? Why am I in the hospital? What happened to me? Several questions ran through my head but I just couldn't remember what recently happened. I closed my eyes and tried to remember what happened to me and but I couldn't. Instead, the headache seemed to intensify and I winced again. "Diane, thank goodness, you are awake!" I heard Melody's mellifluous voice. Instantly, my heart was filled with joy. I opened my eyes and turned my head to the right where the sound of her voice came from. M
