Wedding night

It was Sunday. The perfect day to get married. Alexandra would have never thought in a thousand years that she would find love again. Not after the disastrous relationship she had with Edward. Giving up was the only option left for her. At least, that’s what she thought before she stumbled upon Jonathan.

The churchyard gleamed with fairy lights. The seats were empty, as there were no guests. Without her father to walk her down the aisle. No fancy wedding dress. Instead, she wore a white satin blouse and a white skirt that reached her ankles—holding a bouquet of white roses.

Jonathan smiled at her as she walked toward the man she loved with whole her heart. A smile on her pink-tinted lips, which he could see through the sheer veil. He took her hand in his and kissed it.

The pastor cleared his throat, bringing them out of the little love bubble they had wrapped around themselves, and began the vows.
