Chapter Fourteen

When he kissed me, I melted into him. I wanted him to take me, and shamefully, I wanted him to dominate me too. It was all too confusing and terrifying, so I did the only thing I could. I tried to resist him, I dug deep inside me to the untouched power I knew lay there, but I had no idea how to release it, and Solar continued to try to sabotage my efforts. I could feel her need to mate with the big black wolf; it was such a primal instinct, and she was helpless to fight against it. Her own innate understanding of what he was to them made any resistance from her impossible. He was her Alpha, her fated mate and as such every fibre of her being told her to submit to him. My legs buckled as my exhaustion took over. Without Solar’s strength, I could no longer defend myself against his commands, and he could see the physical effort it was taking me. Solar shook her head, panting so hard I thought her heart would give out as she begged me to stop telling me enough was enough.

‘Dakota, stop fighting him, please, we must obey him; he is our fated mate, but he is also our Alpha.’

She begged over and over, fighting to remain standing as her legs shook with the effort. I stubbornly refused to listen; I was nobody's mate. There was no way I was going to let this huge black devil beat me and put me back in servitude. I had an inkling of what was required of me, and I was not about to swap one cage for another. Even if this cage held the promise of that incredibly beautiful male touching and kissing me, I  tamped down my own desire for him and let my anger bleed into Solar.

As Kaiden approached us, I forced her to back up onto our paws, and I  curled our lips back in a snarl.

‘You must submit to me, little wolf, you know our ways even if your human does not. I order you not to let the human win.’

Kaiden was in our head, both him and his wolf, applying the pressure that was taking all our will,

‘No, no.’

He pushed her resistance away, easily making her legs buckle again.

‘Shift.’

I tried to resist, but his command came down hard on us both, and it was too much for Solar. She gave up bowing her head down to the floor, and she apologised to Dakota.

‘I’m sorry, but I want, no, I need this.’  

She said meekly and shifted, leaving me curled on the floor, naked in front of five huge, sexy males, one of whom was staring at her like she was all his Christmases come at once.

He stepped forward and tried to wrap a blanket around me, but I reacted as if he had struck me.

‘No, no, don’t touch me. Don’t you dare fucking touch me. Get away from me.’

I screamed at him, stepping back, my eyes wild with fear, my head snapping this way and that, looking for a way to escape. It was hopeless; the four big Betas effectively blocked every exit. I was trapped, and panic gripped me. I snatched the blanket from him and clung to it, not quite sure what I  was supposed to do. I was trembling so hard my teeth were chattering, and then he shifted into his human form, and it took her breath away. He was utterly glorious.

‘Hey, hey, it’s okay, little one, I won’t hurt you.’

Kaiden spoke softly, trying to calm her, but he could not stop his body reacting violently to hers. All I  saw was a six-foot-five male, with a golden-toned muscled body, every part of him honed to perfection, his chiselled abs defined, trailing down to slender hips and standing proud between his naked legs, his huge cock slapped against his belly fully erect at the nearness of me, his so-called ‘fated mate’.

He growled low in his chest, desire pulsing through him as Midnight demanded he make a move on her, telling him angrily that if she had been one of his Pack, he would have been buried deep inside her warmth by now. She wasn’t, though, and from the terror in her beautiful golden eyes, she had no concept of what being his fated mate required. He watched as her eyes travelled over his body. He was a truly stunning male, every part of him was beautiful, from his long, thick blue/black curls, down that gorgeous chiselled from marble body to his..

‘Oh my goodness.’

Kaiden saw the second those stunning molten gold eyes landed on his cock, and he could not help but preen as they widened at his size, but then he felt shocked when they filled with tears.

‘No, please no, not that, please, don’t do that to me. Please, don’t hurt me.’

The blanket fell from my hands as I cowered away from him, curling into myself as I covered my face, sobbing uncontrollably. I was so exhausted, so fragile, I didn’t want this cage, but I could feel the bars locking in place around me. All my tired brain could process was that everything I had gone through was for nothing; the pain and suffering at breaking my bond with the Mountain Top Pack had only led to my capture by this huge male. It was too much; I was helpless in front of him, and his Betas and I sank to my knees in defeat. There was nothing I could do to prevent this from happening. Tears streamed down my face as I gave up, let them do with me as they would. I had no fight left in me, and it seemed my wolf had abandoned me to my fate.   

‘Dear Goddess, she thinks we are going to rape her.’

Matty spoke up at the sight of the trembling figure of the young woman; the shock was evident in his voice.

‘What the fuck did that fucking Pack do to her?’
