Chapter One.

Revenge Gone Wrong

Isabella was in her room. She just came home from an outing with her friends. She was pissed. Ricardo was going all overprotective again on her. She didn't know if it occurred to him that she was an adult now. Yes, she was just eighteen, but she still wanted the chance to pick who she wanted to be romantically involved with. Her father was not even the problem, it was Ricardo her brother. The worse part was that her dad had decided never to put himself between them when they argued.

Isabella's phone lit up and she saw it was her brother calling. She declined the call. She knew he probably wanted to find out if she had gone for the party he prevented her from going to. She felt like swearing at him, but that didn't go well the last time she did it.

She felt truly bad about it because he was always keeping her in. She literally had no social life and that was most likely why she never had any guy friends: the ones she did have were scared of her brother. He made an impression before he left for Spain.

Isabella flopped to the bed. She would plan her escape one day. Her mind drifted off to Marco. He was her brother's close friend and she had known him for four years, but he acted like he never noticed her. She had a crush on him, but it seemed he only saw her as a girl. A little girl to be more precise. He even called her his little sister sometimes and it hurt her a lot.

She was done liking him in secret now. She had his number and she was not afraid of calling him. Besides, what's the worse that could happen? She knew he could never tell her brother and if he did, her brother would just have to deal with it.

Isabel made to dial his number. She held her breath when he picked up before a smile made its way to her face.

"Hey, sexy, " Isabel said, turning her charm. She liked this older man and she was going to go for him. Even if her brother would skin her alive if he found out.

Marco removed his phone slowly from his ear and looked at the number on the screen.

He heard and recognized that voice. Isobel tormented his dreams since the last time he saw her.
How the fuck did she get my number? he voiced out loud.

"Hello, " Her honey-sweet voice called out. "I know you're there, Marco," She said the last part rolling her eyes.

"Isabel, what do you need?" He asked confused.

"You," She said a little too boldly for her own good.

"Listen, kid. I don't have time for this," Marco said already over this. He was sure her brother had her phone tapped and he did want to get on Ricardo's bad side. "If you call me again, I'm going to tell your brother,"

"Hey, I'm not a kid. I'm a woman. I'm eighteen." She whined clearly displaying a child's attitude.

Yeah, sure you are. You're a girl in a woman's body that's what you are, he murmured to himself.

"What was that?" She asked, her voice demanding.

"Nothing. Don't bother calling me again and I don't want to know how on earth you got my number. You know how your brother is, let's not give him any ideas," He said right before he hung up. He didn't even give her a chance to respond.

Fucking tease, she is! Marco grunted as he sped up making his way to his folks.

Isabella slumped her shoulders as she removed the phone from her ear.

"I wasn't even going to tell you how I got your number anyway," She said as she threw her phone lightly.

Okay, so she knew there was a tiny age gap between them. Maybe it was not so tiny! There was a twelve-year age gap, but it didn't really matter not like I was asking the man to be my husband, and besides her parents had been ten years apart, she thought.

"Okay, maybe I might want him" Isabella smiled to herself as she thought about Marco being her boyfriend.

She had a crush on him since she knew what a crush was and she had always looked up to him. Now he had turned into a hunk with a capital H.

Isabella recalled him saying he would tell her brother. She knew he could never do that because Ricardo would go ape shit at the both of them. She knew her dad could protect her from his nasty yelling and over-protectiveness. She remembered the comment he made about her brother. Did that mean he was actually interested in her and he was just hesitant to make a move because of her brother? It was times like this where she despised having such a protective brother, but she would never trade him for anything in the world.

Isabella laid on her chest over her pillows as she made to watch a movie on her laptop.

Marco knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer the door.

No sooner than later, his mother was there opening the door. Her face showed signs of worry when she recognized it was him.

"Marco," Sylvia said surprised that her son had finally thought of her and decided to see her.

A smile made its way to her face as he leaned in to hug her, walking them into the house. Arm in arm. He felt guilty for never really coming home often whenever he looked into his mother's eyes.

"Where have you been?" Antonio asked as soon as he saw his son. He placed the newspaper he had been reading down carefully. This was why he wasn't too keen on coming home often. He hated seeing the disappointed look his father always threw his way. Yes, he had made some bad choices earlier, but he was trying to do something better with his life now.

"Work, " He said as he threw himself ungracefully onto the couch.

"What work? Do you have any idea how much we were worried? Do you even know where your sister is?" Antonio said, getting annoyed at his son's uncaring attitude only coming home whenever he deemed fit.

"See Dad, I'm tired and I don't want to fight. I've been busy okay and Carina is just fine where she is," He said, he didn't want to think about Carina being with Ricardo because he still felt hurt by that.

Sylvia stood behind the couch her husband sat on and placed her hands on his shoulder, massaging them slightly.

"Marco, you listen here. I just hope for your sake, Carina is not where she is because of you," Antonio said letting out what had been going on through his mind long enough. He knew his son may be involved in his daughter being involved with that Ricardo man.

"Okay, dad, " He said dismissing the topic.

"Mom, I'm sorry I haven't been here long enough. I've been busy," He offered a smiling Sylvia an apology which Antonio replied with a snort, making her smile vanish.

"You boys should not use this time you have to argue. He has his reasons for not always being here, please" Sylvia said using her motherly voice on both of them. She said the last part more for her husband's ears. He was a stubborn man, just like his son.

"Now what would you like to eat, darling?" She asked her son.

"You sure don't treat me like this," Antonio grumbled picking up the newspaper again.

"Oh stop being so grumpy," Sylvia said to her husband before turning back to her son.

"I will take anything cooked by you, ma. I've missed your cooking, " He said flashing his mom a smile. He missed this. He missed his mother.

"Sure. I'll quickly whip something up for you, " She said before she made her way to the kitchen.

Father and son stayed in absolute silence, making Marco's thoughts go back to the little tease that had been disturbing him. He knew that was not the first time she had called him because he had seen that number on his phone before, but he ignored it.

Isabella was a little girl compared to him and he was not into that at all, but at the same time, she was an adult. She could make decisions by herself. She was also Ricardo's 'precious' little sister.

He laughed inside imagining Ricardo pulling out his hair frustrated over the fact that his sister was an adult. He didn't want to ruin their friendship, but putting his sister in her place would be difficult especially when he found her really attractive. In a way, it was like Ricardo had done the same thing to him. Ricardo was also now involved with his sister and he didn't like how Ricardo went about it. He wished he could turn time back. Ricardo did not deserve his sister, especially with how he knew Ricardo acted with women.

"Marco listen I only talk because I worry about you and the work you do. I'm really proud of the man you are now, I mean you're the one that makes sure our bills are paid. You make your mom and me very happy, but with some of the choices, you've made in the past," Antonio paused shaking his head.

"I know you're trying to be more responsible, but when you don't come home for months, of course, we wonder where you are. More importantly, your mother worries so much," Antonio said to his son, sincerely.

Marco looked surprised at the words that left his father's mouth. He always thought his father was disappointed in him because he had gone to prison a few years ago, even though his record was now clean.

"I'm glad you feel that way, Dad. I'll make sure to keep up from now on. Thank you for having faith in me and I do all I do because of what you and ma did for me when I was young, " Marco said to his father. He was not expecting that from his father. He thought his father was still angry at him.

Just then Sylvia came in with a plate of food for her son.

After the meal and little chitchat, Marco made to leave.

"Yeah I'll be back to see you soon," Marco said after letting go of his mom who was making a fuss about him leaving so soon. He had been there for four hours. He planned to spend only two hours.

"Okay, darling, " She said as she leaned up to kiss his cheek before walking him out. He nodded at his father's knowing eyes before he left. He felt like a burden had been lifted off his chest now.

Marco decided against making his way back to Ricardo's. He was still pissed at the guy. He thought he could take his sister because he owed him. He had thought they were friends, but once again someone fucked him over. An idea popped in his head when he remembered Isabel's persistent calls. Isabel was going to be a pawn in his game. He was going to use her and give Ricardo a taste of his own medicine. He knew exactly what to do.

Ricardo made his way over to Bianca's. He finally felt the need to celebrate. He was going to go on his quest for revenge against the bikers. He thought they were all a family, but they feed him to the dogs. Left him to die. They would regret ever double-crossing him.

Seven years ago, his group members betrayed him. They left him alone and he was arrested by the police. They never thought to come and look for him. He knew it was a setup and the main man was Pedro. Pedro had always been jealous of Marco. He wanted anything and everything Marco had. Marco overlooked it and decided they were just cool. The worst mistake he ever made. He was beaten to a pulp and when he thought to run, the police showed up at the scene.

They set up people to testify against him and he was sentenced to nine years, but the SIS force recruited him and trained to be a secret agent. Ricardo had a hand in that and that was why he owed him. Too bad for them, because he was going to make them all pay. He would kill every one of them. He would not let anyone go free, for fucking up his life and relationship with his family. Fuckers.

Bianca opened the door. She smiled at seeing him. She knew he only ever came when he needed a quick fuck, turns out she needed one too. She had missed him. Marco smiled at her. He closed his mouth over hers as he led them to the room. He knew his way around the house for sure.

Just the person he wanted to speak to. Marco was still angry at Ricardo. He was not going to let it go too far, but he was going to let Ricardo think he was involved with his sister. He hoped his sister was fine now. He would see her later. He kept postponing it. He sighed as he saw the three missed calls from Ricardo.

He was just about to switch off his phone. His not so secret admirer called. Isabella.

"Hey, sexy. I'm glad you picked up this time. Guess what? I'm coming to Spain again and this time for a long time because daddy says I can stay with Ric, " She said with such confident innocence. He smirked, he liked her enthusiasm towards him. He might just go along with his plan at least she was entertaining enough.

"Good. I'll be glad to see you when you're here, " Marco said smiling.

The line was dead silent, Isabella had not said anything.

"Umm...am I speaking with Marco? " she asked nervously. He liked the way his name rolled off her tongue.

"Yeah. This is him. " Marco said making his way out of his apartment to see his sister in Ricardo's house.

"Oh." She said slowly but her confidence was back in a jiffy. "So I will be coming soon and I was wondering if you could pick me up. I want to surprise my brother and annoy him at the same time, " Isabella hoped he would agree to pick her up because she really wanted him to and she wanted to see him.

"Sure. Just text me the day and time to pick you up. Bye Bella, " Marco said.

"Bye. " Isabella breathed out before falling back on her bed.

Had she just had a civil and normal conversation with Marco over the phone? She knew he would come around and he liked her a little as did she. Only a bit more. Isabel grinned as she felt her belly do backflips.

She smiled to herself and began packing most of her clothes. She would enjoy this holiday to the fullest, even if she would be in her brother's company for most of it.
