NARRATIVE POV
“No, the banner is not centered!” Tia growled in frustration as the omegas scurried to make the changes that she was demanding.
Everything had to be perfect. After all, you only turn eighteen once.
It wasn’t lost on Tia that she was handling all the decorations and preparations for the event on her own. Her mother and father were completely hands-off. They gave her their black card and told her to decorate and buy whatever she needed for the pack-wide celebration.
Tia Elise Henry, was the youngest of three pups to Alpha Markus and Luna Ava Henry of the Cherry Ridge Pack. A pack with roughly just over two hundred pack members. They were a peaceful pack. They dealt a lot in livestock and farming. The Cherry Ridge pack has been a neutral, non-aggressive pack for nearly five generations, and the pack held faith that Alpha Markus instilled the same values in his son and future heir, Simon.
At the age of twenty-one, Simon was now about to step into the role as Alpha over Cherry Ridge, one month after his sister, Tia’s, eighteenth birthday. With their middle pup, Hilary, mated and moved away to her Beta mate, Beta Miles Roberts of the Fisher Brooks Pack and Tia about to be arranged to her betrothed, Allan Price, the cousin of Alpha Rollings of the Ravens' Peak Pack, Markus and Ava wish to step down and retire somewhere tropical.
It wasn’t that Alpha Markus and Luna Ava didn’t love their youngest daughter; they were simply too busy to give her proper time and affection. Tia was unplanned, and before her conception, the Alpha pair were content with one son and one daughter. The arrival of Tia was a surprise to them both. Having spent their time and affection lavishing Simon and Hilary, all that was left from the parental pair was to lavish Tia with expensive trinkets and a lack of discipline and structure. Tia was taught that love for her could only be shown through hollow gifts, meant to convey the image of wealth.
There wasn’t a thing in the world that Tia couldn’t buy, other than genuine affection from others. Being the Alpha heir, Simon absorbed their father's attention and praise. Simon was perfectly groomed to become the Alpha their father raised him to be: a cookie-cutter image and leadership of Alpha Markus. Hilary was always the perfect daughter. She had their mother's hair, facial features and elegant mannerisms when entertaining guests. Luna Ava’s sole focus was on preening Hilary for status and displaying the quality and standard of elegance and poise that the Cherry Ridge Pack instills.
At the young age of nine, while Tia was playing alone in the garden, one of the house staff stole her away. No one had noticed that Tia was missing for hours, and by then, the omega had managed to remove Tia entirely from the pack grounds unnoticed by patrol. It wasn’t until they stepped past the borderline that the Alpha pair felt Tia’s absence, but even then, the pack delayed searching for her. They presumed she was wandering and would return soon enough. For days, Tia was missing before her absence was finally appropriately noticed.
Cherry Ridge pack reported the stolen pup to the council the following week, as they could not locate her anywhere in the pack area. It was then decided that Tia was officially missing from the territory and not throwing a childish tantrum. With warriors from both Cherry Ridge and the council searching, the country was aware of a potential Alpha pup trafficking ring popping up in the area. Stealing an Alpha pup was a crime punishable by death. Alpha pups, especially females, are sold on the market for a high price.
The country and neighbouring packs began to scrutinize the Cherry Ridge pack for leaving one of their Alpha pups unguarded and for their inability to protect one of their own—speculation about the convenience that the Alpha pair overlooked was circulating, slowly tarnishing the pack's reputation. Luna's from other packs began to question Luna Ava Henry about how she had not noticed her youngest daughter was missing for over a week before it was reported.
“How does no one notice an Alpha pup missing for days?” The rumour mill steamrolled ahead, and rumours of the Alpha pair trying to sell off their pups began forming. As a blessed pack, the Cherry Ridge pack needed to address these concerns swiftly.
Losing their reputation and financial backing from the trade business, Alpha Markus calls upon the Royal Court to assist in locating their missing daughter. The sooner they find Tia, the sooner they can restore their reputation and rank status. It had nothing to do with missing their lost pup; it was simply their tarnished image.
The weeks trudged on, and finally, a lead turned up. They found the Omega who stole and sold Tia. She was a house staff member of the family, and it soon came out that she was the jilted mistress of Alpha Markus.
The rumours continued to spread, but now they included Luna Ava threatening to take everything in the divorce, as the Cherry Ridge pack belonged to Luna Ava and her family. If Alpha Markus was discovered to have affairs, and they divorced, he would lose it all. He abruptly ended his affair, and they fired the omega to ensure that there were no more temptations. In the heat of rage, the omega stole the young pup, knowing no one would take notice.
The sound of clanking armour, swords and battle-axes clash with aggression. The scene before her was absolute chaos. How could this have split so far, creating an actual dark age of violence and despair? Hundreds of her glorious wolves lay slaughtered on the ground before her feet, yet the battle showed no desire to whine down. He did this. He should have been stopped years ago, but hesitation and uncertainty prevented her from doing what was necessary. She loved him once. Only a man who held such a void and darkness within could truly accept a being of her dark station in this universe. It was too easy to become lost and lonely in the darkness; she knew that better than anyone else, but he accepted her. He never judged or condemned, and she found herself more drawn to him above all others. Her sister had a station in creation that was honoured and respected, but who truly honoured or respected her?No one thought to see beyond the mask she was forced to wear. The darkness e
EPILOGUE PT. 2NARRATIVE POVTia’s eyes drifted from her pups over to the love of her life. She hadn’t reached the age of full accession yet, but every day, she saw Miles becoming stronger as her protector. Once she reached twenty-five, their strength would become limitless. It made sense why the Goddess granted this power to a female over a male. Alphas are very easily led astray at times; Lunas tend to be the calm balance of the pair. Not that she ever doubted Miles to be honest and trustworthy, but many respectable Alphas would love to have their hands on the power upgrade that Miles received after fully mating her. Many despicable Alphas still tried to propose an upgrade of Alpha, as they called it. Tia would never abandon her Alpha, however. Only Miles would love her the way she wanted and needed to be loved. After all, he was her true love.It pained Tia to know the rift in the Robert’s family. Although Miles wouldn’t say it, she knew that he was deeply hurt by his mother's blat

He had warriors running food out to the patrol guards, ensuring they knew how much they were appreciated for their roles. Tia also knew that the moment Miles talked her into the massive industrial-sized grill, he would find any excuse to use it.Boys and their toys.“I honestly can’t believe how far Alek and I have come. NARRATIVE POV Shortly after, Tia and Miles opened up the pack to start accepting new pack members. First in line were two rogues named Johnny and Dave. They were misguided in the past, and have answered for their wrongs. Meadow saved them for a reason all those months ago, and since joining, Johnny has proven himself to be an incredible warrior trainer.Dave was a bit more nurturing and soft compared to Johnny, so he requested to oversee the production of the crops. As a pup, Dave always enjoyed gardening with his grandparents before everyone passed on, and he turned rogue. For him, reconnecting with nature brought a sense of belonging and nostalgia to his restless soul.“We are making a stopover at the New Dawn pack on our way home.” Sarah smiled as she sipped her tea.“Oh? It’s been a little while since I reached out. Could you give them my best? Once the twins are born, I plan to have them all here, and you three are invited.” Tia winks at baby Elliot as she speaks. The New Dawn p
NARRATIVE POV ( 6 months later)Tia and Miles quickly settled into the Cherry Ridge pack. They were both eager to start fresh and build the pack they both desired. One that gave hope and second chances to those who needed help.“Tee, Ty and Sarah are pulling up. Are you ready?” Miles called out as he helped his four-month pregnant wife to her feet.It was a complicated pregnancy, with the stress of building a pack from the ground up, recruiting members and now carrying twins, all in such a short time. Tia has been stressed.Tia groaned. “You’re lucky they’re twins, because now I can cut you off since there is more than one.” She mumbled, causing Miles to grin.“Is my sexy Queen grumpy today?” he teased, earning himself a playful glare.“Keep it up, and you are cut off, Mister!” she shot back, causing them both to laugh.“Just a few more months, baby. After that, we will be holding our two precious babies, and you will forget all about the swollen ankles, the sore back and the bladder
NARRATIVE POVHis closest childhood friend, Alpha, his brother in arms, was fighting for his life, and there was nothing that Beta Leo could do about it. The mirror was solid; he could not enter the dark realm where his Alpha was trapped.“Dark Sister”, Beta Leo murmured. It had to be her doing. He stood there, helpless. Watching the man he’d respected most being torn to shreds before his very eyes. The screams seemed to echo; no doubt that they would haunt him for years to come.“Ben!” Beta Leo cried out. He was desperate to aid him, but was lost in how to achieve it.The image began to fade, and Beta Leo’s face reflected back to him. It was full of tears and pain. Never had he felt so helpless in his life, and the feeling of failing his Alpha pressed down on him.But all that raw emotion froze cold within him the moment he realized there was a second reflection in the mirror.A mysterious female figure. Her hair was long, black as night. Her face was as pale as the moon. There was a
