Damian smiled broadly upon hearing Glara's response. "Truly, my dear, I love you very much. You are the only one in my heart."
Glara looked at Damian with an inexplicable gaze. She seemed touched by Damian's words. "Come back to me, and I will make both of you happy after completing my mission."
In a matter of seconds, Glara's expression changed sharply, with a smirk on her face. "Come back to you? Don't expect that, Damian!" Glara's curt remark shattered the hope that Damian had built.
"I truly love you, Glara. I will—"
"What will you do? Stop the drama! You're here not because you still love me, but because now you know who I am, right? What if I were still poor like yesterday? Not to mention coming here, you'd find mentioning my name repulsive, wouldn't you, Damian? So, why are you still here? Go away. Weren't you the one who abandoned us?"
Damian was stunned. For the first time, Glara dared to confront him. Damian never expected Glara to look at him so sharply, as if she were skinning Damian alive. "Get out now!"
"But, Glara, I truly—"
"Leave, or I'll call security!" Glara snapped, pointing at Damian.
The man stood still, standing there quietly, casting a gaze of sadness over Glara's rejection. Glara snorted roughly, reaching for a flat object from her work pants pocket. Delicate fingers typed something on the valuable hundred-dollar device.
Soon, three bodyguards approached Glara and stopped right behind Damian. Without many words, Glara just nodded her head towards Damian. After that, the three men pulled Damian away from Gama's bed. Initially, Damian resisted Glara's bodyguards, but his smaller size and their overwhelming number eventually made Damian give in, and he left the room.
"Glara, I will keep trying to convince you‼" he shouted before Damian's body completely disappeared from Glara's and Gama's view, the latter still cowering in fear.
After the door closed tightly, Glara took a deep breath and moved to embrace her son, who was still trembling in fear because of Damian's visit. Glara hugged him tightly while uttering calming words.
Not long after, Louis arrived with a tall man following behind him. Glara loosened her embrace and welcomed Louis. "Grandpa, why didn't you give notice first?" Glara asked, shaking her grandfather's hand.
Louis just smiled and gently patted Glara's head, as if channeling strength to his only granddaughter. Glara then shifted her gaze to the well-dressed man standing behind Louis. "Ah yes, let me introduce this is Bhuvi, one of our longtime colleagues in our company."
"Bhuvi, let me introduce you to my granddaughter, who is now leading the company," Louis said, patting Bhuvi's shoulder.
Bhuvi nodded and extended his hand, signaling Glara to shake hands. Glara responded with a faint smile. "Glara."
"Bhuvi," he replied succinctly and clearly.
After the brief and awkward introduction, Louis invited Glara and Bhuvi for a serious conversation. He handed a folder to Glara. With a furrowed brow, Glara started reading each page. "So, Glara has to take over this project?" Glara asked after reading the contents of the folder Louis gave her.
"Yes, you are now leading the company, and this charity project needs to be implemented soon. Because a few months ago, grandpa delayed it. So, can you two work together?" Louis asked, looking at Glara and Bhuvi alternately.
Glara glanced at Bhuvi and Louis alternately. Hesitant, Glara finally nodded. "But, I can't work on it this week, Grandpa. Because of Gama...," Glara paused in her words, not daring to continue her reason with someone else in the room.
"It's okay. At least, you can start thinking about the concept first. Right, Bhuvi?" Louis replied, looking at Bhuvi and Gama who was still visibly frightened.
Bhuvi nodded after remaining silent for a moment. "This is Gama, Glara's son. Something happened to him."
"Something?" Bhuvi asked without hesitation.
Louis shrugged, and the sad expressions in both Louis's and Glara's eyes showed sorrow. "His father abused Gama."
Bhuvi nodded sympathetically. He felt sorry for Gama's condition. However, he didn't want to get too involved in Glara's family affairs. They continued their discussion about the concept and the date of the charity project visit.
Time passed quickly. Glara and Bhuvi were still busy with the concept they were going to create, while Louis was busy playing with his granddaughter to alleviate the fear and trauma caused by Damian. They were unaware that the day was getting late. Glara's stomach growled, drawing a small smile from Bhuvi, who had been busy with his laptop.
"Are you hungry?" Bhuvi stopped his activities.
Glara shook her head quickly, trying to divert her embarrassment by reading the documents. Bhuvi smiled again. "You're smart, huh."
Glara turned with furrowed brows upon hearing Bhuvi's words. "Yeah, smart. Reading upside-down documents like that."
Glara immediately closed her eyes and turned her blushing face away from her embarrassing actions. Bhuvi tried to hold back his laughter not to make Glara even more embarrassed.
The man in the light blue shirt with rolled-up sleeves stood up from his position. He grabbed Glara's hand to make her stand up with him. "Let's go."
"Where to?"
"Eat."Glara's forehead furrowed upon hearing Bhuvi's sudden invitation to eat. "You haven't been focused on the concept discussion from the beginning. I think it's because you're suppressing your hunger."Glara grimaced in embarrassment; she was indeed hungry, having not eaten anything since noon. Earlier, Glara had intended to order zuppa soup for herself and Gama, but everything went awry with Damian's arrival, ruining her mood."Eat first, Glara. You can get sick if you often ignore your meal times. Go ahead, let Grandpa take care of Gama here," Louis instructed his only granddaughter to accept Bhuvi's invitation. Finally, Glara nodded, following Louis's orders. She grabbed her phone and walked following Bhuvi's brisk steps. In no time, Glara and Bhuvi arrived at the hospital cafeteria. They scanned the room, looking for an empty seat. "Over there," they both said simultaneously, pointing to an empty table in the corner of the room.Glara and B
"Can you connect me with that psychologist?" Glara said hopefully.Bhuvi paused for a moment, but in the next moment, he smiled and nodded. He then contacted the psychologist. Glara watched as Bhuvi spoke to someone on the phone. Meanwhile, Glara and Louis waited anxiously for news from Bhuvi."Thank you, doc," Bhuvi said, ending the phone call.Bhuvi looked up, and his eyes met Glara's hopeful gaze. "Tomorrow morning, the psychologist will come here," he said. Glara breathed a sigh of relief at Bhuvi's words."Thank you, Bhuvi." Bhuvi nodded and smiled faintly. As the day progressed, the sun had set, casting a yellowish glow. Glara now sat alone, accompanying her son who was still asleep due to the calming medication given a few hours ago. Louis and Bhuvi had already left, leaving Glara there.A brief sound on her phone diverted Glara's attention from her so
"I'm sorry to surprise you," he said apologetically.Glara nodded and quickly freshened up in the bathroom. Shortly after, Glara emerged from the bathroom looking much fresher than before. She approached Bhuvi, who was sitting on one of the sofas in Gama's room."What do you need?" Glara asked."I've brought a psychologist who will handle Gama. Currently, she's discussing with Gama's personal doctor here," Glara nodded, listening to Bhuvi's explanation.Glara then moved to pour black coffee that was already prepared in an electric kettle in the hospital room. She handed it to Bhuvi. "Please have some first." Bhuvi nodded and took a sip of the coffee Glara gave her.Glara and Bhuvi engaged in a brief discussion about the progress of the care project they were working on. Glara presented the concept she had worked on overnight, while Bhuvi prepared the budget plan. They deliberatel
"Where to?" Bhuvi smiled and invited Glara to meet with her personal doctor.Glara followed Bhuvi's footsteps as she continued walking ahead. Until their steps stopped in front of a white room. Bhuvi knocked on the door, and a nurse welcomed Glara and Bhuvi with a friendly smile."I would like to meet with Dr. Shapire." The nurse nodded and then ushered Glara and Bhuvi into Dr. Abel's room.Dr. Abel stood up and greeted Glara and Bhuvi. He invited them to sit down and asked, "Is there anything that needs to be discussed?"Bhuvi nodded, while Glara remained silent, not knowing the purpose of Bhuvi's invitation to meet with Dr. Abel. "When can we take Gama home?""We will conduct further examinations this afternoon, sir. I can only make a decision after the results are out," he explained with a friendly face and a thin smile lining his wrinkled face.Glara and
"Uncle Bhuvi, your mom's friend. You can call me Uncle Bhuvi." Gama nodded, though he seemed a bit uncomfortable. Glara felt a slight sense of relief because her son was willing to interact with someone other than her and Louis."Glara, I'll excuse myself for a bit," Uncle Bhuvi said to Glara. Glara simply nodded and gave a faint smile. "Hey handsome, Uncle's going to leave now. We'll meet again soon, get well soon!" Uncle Bhuvi said to Gama, who was still stealing glances at him."Take care, Uncle," Gama replied softly. Uncle Bhuvi smiled upon hearing Gama's words, as did Glara. She didn't expect Gama to say such a thing to Uncle Bhuvi, whom he had never met before.Uncle Bhuvi then left Glara and Gama in the room. After Uncle Bhuvi's departure, Glara tried to engage Gama in play, using a similar approach to what Uncle Bhuvi had done earlier. Now, a beautiful scene unfolded in the hospital room.Gla
“Uncle Bhuvi didn't come here?" Glara was shocked to hear Gama's question. She couldn't believe that her son was actually looking for someone else. "Uncle Bhuvi is... ." "Uncle Bhuvi is here‼" Bhuvi exclaimed from the door of the room. Gama smiled happily upon seeing Bhuvi's arrival, contrasting with Glara and Louis, who were surprised by Gama's behavior. "Wow, the little hero is allowed to go home now?" Gama nodded, for some reason feeling comfortable around Bhuvi, even though he had just met the much older man. "Look what Uncle brought," Bhuvi said, raising his hand, which held a large paper bag. "What's in there, Uncle?" Gama replied, looking at Bhuvi with curiosity. "Try opening it yourself." Bhuvi then handed the paper bag to Gama, who was still sitting on his bed. With enthusiasm, Gama started to open the paper bag given by Bhuvi, but suddenly his small hands stopped, and he looked towards Glara and Louis. Gama seemed to be seeking permission from the other two in the room.
Glara shook her head. "Grandpa just doesn't want it; he thinks you're not competitive." "I think Glara's decision is correct, Mr. Louis. The Norush Group has a concept that's too outdated. There is no improvement, and some of the company's projects I worked on ended up unclear. The budget plans are also not transparent." Louis looked surprised to hear Bhuvi's account. "Why is that so? Before the change in leadership, the company was excellent in handling each project." "Because the leader can't do anything except cheat," Glara replied, silencing both Bhuvi and Louis. "Indeed, Damian can't do anything. Luckily, you're free from him," Louis remarked. Glara didn't respond to Louis's words; she just stayed silent while playing with her phone. The atmosphere in the car became quiet again, with only the faint sound of the radio. An hour had passed in their journey, yet they hadn't reached the hotel. Glara's stomach growled involuntarily, and Bhuvi, who was also hungry, immediately look
“What are you doing here, Damian?” the woman replied, looking at Damian questioningly.Damian smiled faintly and then pulled the woman in the red dress into a quieter hallway. He confined the woman's body with one hand. "Issabella, my ex, you are so beautiful tonight!”Issabella blushed, smiled, and stroked Damian's chest. "You followed me here?"Issabella was Damian's ex-girlfriend before he met Glara. They were forced to end their relationship because Isabella had to follow her parents to move across the country. Damian was stunned by Issabella's body shape, which was much more attractive than Martha's. Because he consumed too much alcohol, Damian started to lose his mind.He scraped the distance between his lips and Issa, and soon Issa felt a chewy object pressing against his lips. Because the atmosphere was getting hotter, Damian picked up Issa and took her to one of the rooms a
