Chapter 45

After sleeping with Cara the previous day, Dane had decided to stay at the Cape house, but the high and buzz he’d felt after their intimacy was quickly waning. He’d sent her numerous messages and tried calling, but received no response. Radio silence. 

Not for the first time, Cara’s actions and intentions confused him. Their on again, off again relationship had taken another turn, and he was still unsure what it all meant. 

Stig’s negativity towards Cara was at an all-time high, and Dane had to admit that even he didn’t understand his own actions. He shouldn’t have been able to forgive her, yet she was still everything he wanted.

Dane put his glass in the dishwasher and answered the knock at the front door to greet Gamma Joseph.
