Third person’s POV

Alpha Alessandro rose slowly, his face frozen in shock as he stared at the strange mark on Silvia’s neck, its pattern unmistakable. He shifted fully back to human form, his mouth opening to speak, but words failed him, his mind reeling. Silvia’s eyes fluttered shut, her body slumping as the wolf’s bane overwhelmed her, sending her into unconsciousness. Alessandro’s gaze darted to Ashley, who had also collapsed, the poison sapping her strength.

His warriors had subdued the remaining rogues, the battle clearly won. Normally, Alessandro would’ve been reveling in his victory, lifting his head high and celebrating his dominance, but not today. “There’s a mix-up somewhere,” he muttered under his breath, his thoughts tangled with confusion. “Don’t hurt any of them who are still alive,” he ordered his warriors, his voice firm despite his uncertainty. “Gather them up—we’re heading back to the pack.” His men moved quickly, following his command without hesitation, rounding u

I spun around toward the sound so fast, my heart slamming in my chest, and froze when I saw it—a creature, shapeless like the others but so much bigger, towering over us like a living nightmare. Where its eyes should’ve been was nothing but a single, endless, hollow hole, soulless and deep, like it could pull you in and never let go. Its mouth gaped wide, canines jutting out on both sides, long and menacing, glinting in the dim light. The other creatures around froze, like zombies under its command, their twisted bodies going still at its guttural growl. My gaze darted to Alpha Alessandro, and I saw fear in his eyes, raw and unguarded, though he was fighting to keep it hidden, his jaw clenched so tight I thought it might crack. The creature roared again, a long, deafening sound that made my bones rattle, and the sky itself seemed to answer—thunder crashed, loud and violent, as dark clouds rolled in, swallowing the night. Then it charged, its long, shapeless hands—hands that looked lik

It’s been two days since we got out of Iron Claw, and everyone else is trying to find some kind of normal, settling back into the cave house like nothing happened. But me? I’m a mess, stuck in my own head, unable to shake this feeling that’s been eating at me. Ever since Alexa, my wolf, said she felt a presence, it’s like something’s crawling under my skin, this heavy, twisting knot in my gut that says things are changing, or maybe they’ve already changed, and I’m just catching up. It’s not like anything I’ve felt before, and I can’t wrap my head around it, can’t find the words to explain it. I thought about telling Silvia—she’s been our rock, keeping us together—but every time I try to open my mouth, the words stick in my throat. It feels too big, too strange, like saying it out loud might make it real. So I’ve kept it locked inside, carrying it alone. I was sitting high up in a V-shaped tree just outside the cave house, my legs dangling over the branches, my hands gripping the roug

Back in iron claw, the sun had completely disappeared into the horizon and night has taken over, patrols were out on duty when a sudden unnatural cold fell upon not only them but the entire pack. The standing patrols exchanged weary glances sensing the change in the air. They lifted their noses smelling for the threat when they burst out of the woods—unnatural twisted creatures. They were everywhere. Only one of the patrols made it back to the pack house to inform alpha Alessandro who had already sensed the change in the air and was marching out of the pack house with his beta. The patrol, panting hard, dropped to one knee in front of Alessandro. "Alpha, they're here—twisted things, like nothing we've seen. They overran us fast. The others... they're gone." His voice shook, blood streaking his arm from a deep gash.Alessandro's face hardened, his eyes scanning the distance where distant howls mixed with unnatural shrieks. He nodded once, sharp. "Sound the alarm. Get the fighters ready

Katrina’s father stood frozen, his eyes fixed on her, waiting for her to laugh, to say she was joking, to take back her words. But her face remained set, her jaw tight, her gaze steady with determination. Minutes dragged on, the silence heavy between them, and finally, he let out a long, weary sigh, his shoulders slumping in resignation. He turned, his hands moving to close the shutters, each motion slow, as if he were still wrestling with her request. Then he walked to the small stool by the fireplace, grabbed his hoody, and slung it over his shoulder, the fabric hanging loosely. “Come with me,” he said, his voice low, tinged with reluctance, as he moved toward the door. He paused, his eyes scanning her face, lingering on her bare, unprotected features. “You can’t go there like this,” he said, his tone firm, his gaze narrowing. “You need to cover up.” Katrina let out a soft “oh,” barely audible, her eyes widening slightly as she realized her mistake. She hurried down the hallway, her

After three long days, Adrian had finally stirred from his coma-like state, his eyes opening to a world Katrina had hoped she could shape to her will. She had been so sure that when he woke, she could make him see the truth—Ashley was the reason he’d nearly died, the reason he’d gone to Iron Claw and come back barely clinging to life. Katrina had planned to convince him to let go of Ashley, to turn away from her for good. But her hopes crumbled when Adrian’s wolf took over, a fierce, unyielding presence that shut her out completely, locking her out of his heart and mind. For three endless days, he’d been consumed by a brooding, aggressive state, his temper flaring at the smallest things. He refused to let her sit at the same table, his voice harsh when she tried to approach, snapping at everyone around him with a fury that left her shaken. She couldn’t stand it anymore—she told herself she had to act, and that meant going to her father. Clinging to a faint hope that Adrian might hav

My heart was still pounding, my mind reeling from Alpha Alessandro’s words—*my children*—like a weight I couldn’t shake. I don't know if i was actually expecting an explanation or whatever but my lip felt like they've been glued together ,my eyes where still fixed on him. Silvia’s voice broke through, raw and fierce. “I don’t fucking believe this,” she said, her tone thick with disbelief, her eyes locked on Alessandro, burning with anger. “Let us go,” she added, her words low, carrying a warning that made my skin prickle with tension. Alessandro didn’t speak, his face still broken, that single tear glistening on his cheek, his mouth trembling. He gave a small nod to one of his warriors, who turned and ran off, moving quickly out of sight. My chest tightened, my breath uneven, waiting for what would happen next. Moments later, the warrior came back, and behind him were the rest of our girls, their faces tense, their eyes darting around, alert for danger. To my surprise, they weren’t
